What about the same question for piper basketball?

I think Piper basketball takes a major step back. 8 or 9 seniors was a lot and didn't give much playing time to underclassmen. Eskina's team and we will have to see what Beebe does next year.

Like I've seen some teams who have a big man who is 5'11 and on Varsity, the next level he's definitely gonna be a guard, I don't get why they work with him on one position - Example

I would say that player is not going to go to the next level if he is playing out of position. There are so few bigs these days. That is why so many use a dribble drive game plan. Hint for KVL team game plan at All Star game.

With all of the guys in the area that are going to a MIAA school next season, which team do you think will have the most success within the next four years with them?

No idea! I look forward to watching. We are just now starting to crack into this. I need to get KCAL schools in this mix as well. I am real happy to see this step up. I will be watching Emporia, benedictine and central MO.

Pick a starting five from the last five years of the KVL and kckal?

I would not want to answer this quickly. This is a popular question. I haven't been following for five years.

Do you think Piper will be a great team next year? Or will they be back to an average team?

Will depend on the QB. Defensively they will be in order.

He can dunk all he wants, but won't play his role as a big man, he's weak down in the post

Weak to think that someone with height has to play in the post. That is lame. Posts at this level typically have to be guards at the next level. That is one thing hurting Mitchell Ballock. He is a 2 at next level and even Isaiah richardson at Harmon. He is going to have to be a wing to get where he wants to go.

The last bonner game, against Spring Hill in districts. He had 4 touchdowns only person to score for bonner that game. But what do you think is holding Freese back from going D1?

He had 3 and 3 was half of his total for the season. You have to keep things in perspective. He would need to have been absolutely crushing it since his sophomore year to get D1 offers at that position. It is not really fair to discuss D1. His numbers from last year needed to at the very least been double. You should look up film on Vernon Vaughn and Khalil Bailey. You have to do that in order to be in that class.

Darrell Stewart of piper dunked in an 8th grade game, that doesn't mean they're gonna be an amazing player.

I agree. Not saying Darrell won't develop but that is my point. Dunking means nothing.

How bout Ward basketball next year ?

I am sorry but unless Wards enrollment doubles they are going to struggle.

Lol lets get to some real questions who do you think will win 5a state next year and why, also do you think Lansing deserved the state title

Yes they deserved it and I am not sure there is a reason they wouldn't. They went undefeated and molly whopped a good team in the final. Next year I don't know but I don't think Lansing will repeat.

I'm pretty sure one of the twins dunked in eighth grade as well

Its not unheard of and honestly means little to nothing. I have written about the 3 layers of thinking and if you are just trying to dunk you will forever be at level 1. I have a follow up to write to this. Thinking, reacting and anticipating and how these three mental aspects of your game make you faster.

We also forgot to mention Jonah Freese when I comes to bonner. What are your thoughts on him. He seems to be Conner Byers favorite reciever and favorite target. Can't forget that he did extremely well towards the end of the season. Broke the bonner record for touchdowns in one game I believe also! T

I believe you would be wrong on that one. Not sure which game you are talking about. Freese has all the tools. We will have to see how he does this summer. Would love to have both come work out with us. Receivers not putting in some time with Austin Bennett or anyone else with that knowledge is missing out.

Have you heard of Jamison Jackson dunking as an 8th grader? He's the most dominant player I have seen at his age level. The kid is going to be a stud.

I know the family well and heard about that. I need to play him one on one to determine how good he is. I have heard from both his brothers that he is going to be a player. Long arms and has some skill. His sister isn't bad either. First team all shukc. Very talented family.

And you could do top play In whatever sports season were In at that time like 1 for the kcal and 1 for the KVL and the people vote In the comments, I think that'd be awesome

It is an awesome idea and something I will follow up on. I would need spotters though to help me find plays. I don't attend or watch every game.

You could like post like a top performer of the week on Instagram, and like top play of the week

I will play with it and try it out.

Do you think all of the transfers that go on in this day and age diminish team accomplishments like winning league, sub-state and state titles? Eudora comes to mind with Downing and Elston...

Some. Those were certainly good gets for the basketball team.

You should make a Instagram and just put like good plays and dunks on there

Thats good feedback. I might take that as a project. I need to get some KCAL stuff together so I may do that. Thanks!

Well Mr. Brox I compare you too Brian scalabrine

Here is the deal. I will sit at the end of any NBA bench because this dude is paid!! So I will take it! Look at Jacque Vaughn as a prime example. Dude road the bench for 15 years and laughed his way to the bank.

Also another key players to the braves football team I think will be Conner Byers and Thaddeus Glenn, I feel like they are going to blow up on the field this year and I feel they will make or break the team, thoughts on that?

Byers more than Glenn because he is the likely QB. Glenn is small. We will see how Hoffine does coming back.

So here's how you put it... Donate is the Mario chalmers of the heat.. He can score but he has Lebron (joe) dwade (Khalil) in from of him!

Mario Chalmers sucks. Sorry I would not disrespect Dontae in that way and I am sure he would be offended by this as well. Chalmers has parlayed one lucky shot into an NBA career. Ok that is an extreme. This is a good question because I talk about this often about players playing a role. Toni Kukoc. Look him up. He had skill but was complete back seat during the Bulls runs. Before I get the hate I am exaggerating on Chalmers.
