Lansing football next year? New school, new facilities, and McCall knows his team much better now. How do you think that will help out on their season?

I am excited to see the facilities. No clue how good the team will be. Quinten McQuillan will be back along with Douglas. We will have to see.

Does it surprise you that Cushinberry from atchison got POY?

I can make a case for her. She averaged a double double and improved her numbers from last year. Granted she played a lot more in league because the team wasn't very good or deep. Sumner and Schlagle blew everyone out and therefore didn't get to play starters as long as you would expect. If you want to hand the award to the best player on the best team that is fine and you can make a case for Kiara Brown, Shai Scales who some how made second team and Samia Roark but their reward is being on the "teams" that won the league. So no I am not surprised.

Who are the first and second team selections for all KVL?

I got the girls and will post it when I get a moment. They don't do first and second team. It is all league and then honorable mention.

Lots of talk about who pipers qb will be for next year. Rumor has it Bradley is leaving. Also heard about an 8th grader coming and also heard they had a transfer. What's your thoughts?

I know of Dalton White who may be a freshman next year. I am not sure if he would be ready for Varisty or not. I am not sure who will step in.

Do you think Washington can win state? I don't see them getting past the second round if them and Maize win

Yes they will match up and have a chance to win. I don't know who Maize has played but Washington has played some good teams and are ready to go to battle.

Being good is a solid start. some kids though build a relationship through participation in work outs etc. I am approachable if you have questions.

Turner has a decent O-Line coming back. Gabe Alvarez, Xavier De La Torre, Arnez Dowdy. Seniors next year

Having an experienced line is always a good place to start.

I heard there is this freshman from tongie, he had 7 tackles against bonner for his first start. And 6 against Atchison. Might be a threat for basehor next year.

BL football is in very good hands with Phillips behind center and McPherson as the primary playmaker. A little worried about the D though. What do you think?

Word floating around is that Brant Voight is coming back for Basehor at state this week. Been just all season and wouldn't be surprised if he starts over Fliger.

Tonganoxie sophomore, Jordan Brown here. Had shoulder surgery in August so had to miss my first year of varsity football. What is this combine and how can I get into the SHUKC system like Holloway and Weeks did?

When is the Football combine?

I am working with Coach Brindle. there is a big camp at Piper with some tryouts at the end of May. I won't have the time to plan it until after the All Star game. my time is linear atm.

Piper vs basehor football. Next year, who wins

well a new era of Piper football. a lot of the I line will be back along with Sterling Owens. would look for Letcher to contribute more as well. we will have to see.

Thoughts on next year basehor girls team

I honestly wouldn't be grossly optimistic u less there is a secret weapon. When a team struggles then any glimpse of a did future would have played. they will be prepared and well coached. I am a fan of coach tat.

Your thoughts on Basehor-Linwood football next year?

year two for Phillips. McPherson back as well. I think the coaching staff got a solid start and will be able to keep things moving in the right direction especially in year two of the offense. Hoping to see a lot of Bobcats at the combine.
