I went to bonner but it looks like basehor and piper are starting to build a big rivalry. Well except in bball because that would mean piper beating BL first haha

Fan the flame.

Why was voorhes kicked off the team

I am not 100% sure and I will choose not to publicly speculate. I have spoken to him but not to coach so I will just stay quiet on any opinions i have.

I've been around the KVL too and to call out certain fan bases is bush league. Piper has obnoxious parents and fans too. I've seen them on twitter. They should learn to handle the success that they just began to have

Everyone does.

Who will have the most success in the next level from this years football class?

I like the possibilities of what McKinzy will be able to do at Minnesota.

What do you think of Wykeen Gill

I was impressed with him on and off the court. I look forward to seeing how he adjusts and handles the rest of the season. It will be fun getting to watch him the next two seasons. High upside.

I have been around KVL sports for years. Some MV students have terrible mouths and some BL parents are obnoxious. Sadly it reflects on all of them. Other schools have bad days as well and are not perfect! Is it OK to stereotype? Sadly KCK schools appear to have more respect for each other.

I agree. There will be some at every school and that includes KCK.

Bogart claims the team is better off without Voorhes due to a 5 game winning streak over teams similar to talent of bishop warp. Thoughts on that?

Chemistry is important on a team and if there was a power struggle with Voorhes then it is possible. I don't think you are better off though taking a player like Wyatt off the team. What else would you expect him to say? I view the comment as good coaching.

Atchison has the rudest fans and players around, too bad they cant back it up

I had many of the kids out working with us. Again I think there are good and bad at every school.

I really do think it will. These teams in the past may have had good state potential but were surprised to find good competition during the playoffs. It will be very interesting to see and something to watch closely. Will SHUKC be covering MV football next year with them going independant?

That is a very good question. I did think about this when I heard about it. I have heard too that Bonner will be going to a different league as well if I didn't I would potentially be setting an interesting precedent. I don't anticipate not following them.

Hey David, as someone who is not very familiar with SHUKC but is very happy with everything you guys have done so far, will you guys be covering Track this spring?

I am not sure yet how much coverage I will do in the Spring. I am taxed by the time we get through basketball, all star game and then the award ceremony. I won't sign Vernon up to do what he did a few years ago but he is a huge track fan. We will see but I do enjoy the competition.

Their girls track has won 13 straight league titles, the boys have won 6 or 8 straight(can't remember which), XC has recently had much success on boys and girls side, winning the KVL during the past two seasons, the girls soccer team and boys won this year and the fball team is going ind. next year

Going independent is a great story. I am curious to see if playing bigger schools makes the difference.

Dirt slinging=Last year Mill Valley's student section wore white trash bags to a basketball game between them and Bonner. They called it "white trash night"

That is inappropriate.

Mill Valley doesn't dominate in almost every sport. And their kids are terribly rude. Wouldn't mind seeing them leave the KVL, though.

I haven't had any encounters of rude kids from Mill Valley. We should not generalize over 1000 kids as rude. I am sure we can pluck a good number of rude kids in all schools.

If you would refer to the question, I clearly stated, almost every sport. With the exception of basketball, this league is owned by Mill Valley.

Ok.

What did you think of Coach Pekarak resigning from Lansing?

I never really got to know Coach Pekarak. I would guess Lansing wants to measure themselves by playoff wins and beating Mill Valley but they just weren't getting it done in the KVL with a lot of 4A schools. Change is good sometimes but I don't have enough information over the years about how well he did.

The dirt-slinging does not come from Mill Valley. This is why they're trying to get out of the league. No need for dirt-slinging when they dominate in almost every sport.

Every sport?

Will atchison and Tongie be terrible in football next year?

Both will have to replace a lot of production. We will see.

As a Lansing fan and student, the most "dirt slinging" comes from Piper and Mill Valley. Piper's student section is incredibly rude. My question is: Would you consider Lansing top dog in the KVL for basketball?

Lansing is tops in the Metro right now. We all have to get past all dirt slinging and just enjoy the competition. When we work out we bring kids from all schools and they do great working with each other so the fans should do the same.

Thank you, Mr. Brox, for everything that you do. You are such a class act and I know that very one truly appreciates all that you do for the student athletes in the areas that you cover from the radio show, television and most importantly social media. And on top of all of that, thank you for still

I try my best to stay classy. Thank you for the kind words. Hopefully we are making a difference.

Why is it that only one school and it's fans are always the ones slinging dirt on here?

I guess that is the biggest problem with anonymous questions. We don't know who is asking the questions.

"This sounds like the same people that think that Long has a chance of getting a D2 BB scholarship. Long needs to hope for a Juco scholarship." -1. Sounds like jealousy. 2. Sounds like a typical Basehor parent. Long has had a great season this far, but it's because Piper's team is a Family.

Luke will be fine either way.
