Mill Valley, Blue Valley. Who ya got?

I think Mill Valley held up pretty well to the more physical game that Aquinas brought to the table. Aquinas got worked over by Blue Valley for the only common opponent between the two. Blue Valley has been a power in the state for a few years I hate to say though and they held Tra Wrench and Gardner to a fat goose egg. This is going to be a tough ask for the Jaguars. Picking with my head I say Blue Valley. My heart though wants Mill Valley to win.

How do you select your SHUKC awards?

The winners is a lot of opinion, stats, and debates that will take place with Moses Wyatt, Bryan Watson, Vernon Birmingham, Austin Bennett and myself. My vote counts for 2. :) We select a full offense, defense and special teams. We give trophies for each member of the team. We will have 18-20 on each side of the ball.

So are you trying to say beebe is better then mason of bonner or knernscheild of bonner?

Beebe's main position is Middle linebacker. Anything he does on offense is just a bonus. At his main position there are few better in the state.

The one u said can compete with Peoples

he hasn't done anything yet but is the only person that comes to mind right now. we will lose a lot of good d lineman this year.

Why do u believe in that atchison kid so much

who are we talking about. I like a couple of young players at Atchison.

So, when you had your bb tourney did you learn anything about the upcoming season?

I was intrigued by the young Harmon players. they didn't win but showed flashes. good experience for them. Vince Eskina looked real smooth. hard to tell much in three on three.

Do you think Sumner will do well this basketball season with the loss of more key players? And who do you think will fill in for each position

They will be young and struggle but the whole league will be young and trying to knock off Wyandotte. Derek Sykes, Billberry, Young and Juance (spelling) will need to step up. Going to be a fun time learning about a lot of new players that will have to step up for the Sabres.

How do you think Mill Valley will hold up against the EKL teams in the playoffs. Remember Miege last year ?

Yes I do and that is why I think this game is so vital. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0DcmihKfFgOdoggBrox’s Video 103572855344 N0DcmihKfFgOdoggBrox’s Video 103572855344 N0DcmihKfFg if you skip ahead to 1:33:40 in the video you will hear me express that concern to Coach Applebee. I think it is vital that Mill Valley wins tonight. Yes I think they have the team to do it. I will be there.

Do you think Washington has loss any key people and what goal do you have for them next year

They must get to the State tournament. I don't know if Bowens is a senior but that won't be good. Shakir will be tough as well. hit the hall ways and get a basketball player to come play receiver. hopefully Harrison puts the work in to throw the ball around a bit next year.

Do you think Steven Peoples has potential to be the best in the state

I don't know that I would go that far. I don't have access to see everyone else. He should be getting his film out though for evaluation. not sure his act scores.

Does Harper have the quickness and endurance to keep up with bigs defensively in the league, especially after an injured season last year and not many varsity minutes the year before?

It is my opinion that he will do well. again there will be zero pressure on him. he has four others to allow him to focus on rebounds and defense. he should average ten+ boards a game.

Koch is a stud, but didn't his replacement also run all over the KVL while he was out? He is more of an extremely talented RB playing QB (like a bigger, stronger Ford from Tongie). His line is what makes his stats amazing, behind an average line I would guess his stats would be much less impressive.

I wouldnt agree that Mill Valley ran the same without Koch. I am sure of that now because while Bruce was effective he wasn't ripping it up like Koch. I haven't stood next to Koch. I need to get him on the radio show to talk to him.

I wasn't asking about next year but anyways why piper they came third in league last year and they lost seniors so how will they be any better than teams who gained key players?

No they didnt add anyone but they do return five starters who played significant minutes last year. Eskina I believe will be better and more active as a scorer. Harper will provide size. I like bugs and again Eskina, Jennings and Harper will be a good front line. Jennings won games last year, Long won games. I think there are three or four very good teams in the kvl. basehor is right up there and I would not at all be surprised if they won. I just choose not to flip flop.

No for kaw valley league

Football. I guess I have to jump on the Mill Valley band wagon. four of the other schools will have new qbs so are likely taking a step back. Koch will be a preseason favorite for our PoY.

Who do you predict to win league?

Washington will be the favorite. that however is not going to be my goal for Washington next season. playoffs or bust.

He'll be a senior. Do you think anyone will give him a run for his money?

Depends on how he develops. I like Dai Coy at Atchison. Not off the top of my head right now.

Alright but you agree with the bottom half?

Honestly our lists would be pretty different. We agree at the very bottom. Bonner and Turner will struggle in this league unless one of the young players is real good. Is Jake Todd really good enough to make Tonganoxie the top tier of this league? I don't know about that. I would go Piper, Basehor, Lansing, MV, Tongie, BW, BSHS, Turner

So piper was to low is that the only thing wrong with the list?

No I think Lansing and Piper is low. Bishop ward if they really do have a legit 6'9 exchange student will compete. MV has Voorhees but I don't know who is filling Nathan Stacy's shoes especially losing Muldoon.
