Ironically I think all pressure is on Piper. I think Basehor will be loose and ready to play. I will take Basehor at home.
Which current senior from KCAL/KVL do you see being most successful in his sport at the next level, either football or basketball?
Kyle Dumler or Dimonic McKinzy. I think Paul Berry will be a beast as well.

No problem. Lansing as a team placed 2nd in 2009, 2010. 4th in 2011. 10th in 2012. Coach Averill has been around for a long time, build a great program with solid kids.
There are some good wrestling programs in the area. I have learned a lot about Jobe over at Bonner.

Saw you talked about Bonner strong wrestling program. Just wanna put it out there that over past 10yrs Lansing has finished 2nd at state 3X. And top 10 mutiple times. With 10+ state champs.

Even with a lot of students, MV hasn't always been good in cross country. Didn't even make it to state last year and came back and took 3rd this year. I don't think anyone saw that happening.
I know they will be good at least the next two years in x country
That's exactly why MV wins the KVL in cross country every year as well.
I had a friend us high school Clemons that was a fantastic at the distance races.
You should definitely check out other events besides sprints this year. Bonner has a great middle to long distance program. Also, basehor has some great long distance and jumpers.
I will look to make some meets but I do go into hibernation a bit to recharge. ba lot of planning for the all star game and award ceremony and I have added the combine coming up.

Only if they are a glutton for punishment. I would he shocked if any did this though. allowing annonymous questions in that position would drive them nuts.
So if you were putting your kids in a KCAL school for sports which school would you pick and why?
The system dictates that I would want my kids to go to Sumner because it is structured to better prepare this school over the others. Cherry picking the smartest kids is not good for all. and here I thought the kcal would be dominated by Democratic people. this is a very conservative way of doing things. ok this answer may get me in trouble.
how and why do you think mill valley track has dominated the KVL for so long?
They have more people. The problem with me is that I only look at Track as the sprints. I am however there is so much more to it.
I'm admittedly biased but Basehor has to be up there as far as most athletically successful schools go.
In the past sure. Last few years I am not sure I would agree with that but everyone has an opinion.

Just have to "shout out" and give credit to area parents who support all the kids, not just kids from their own schools. Parents seem to have gotten very critical of kids and are the ones displaying the worst behavior at games and on social media. Why do you think this is happening?
I honestly have not witnessed any of this first hand but have heard a lot. There was a lot of controversy after the Bonner team won at home last year against Basehor. My kid is 7 and I attend his games and I even find myself trying to get in his head wondering why the hell he is starring in the crowd when he should be doing this or that. Parents love their children and honestly get lost in them in situations like this and the thought that their child isn't winning or possibly being mistreated causes them to act out. Yeah I am a psychologist as well.
Which school around here is the best at sports overall? All sports combined, boys and girls.
That is actually a very good question. Piper is obvious choice with track and soccer teams. Bonner has a strong wrestling program and soccer team. Washington.

I agree. Never really used him to his full potential and neither did the team work to his stregnth. he needs a good point guard that knows how to pass on time.
I think wards basketball team can improve a lot the team will be better next season
Based on who coming up. my only problem with thinking this way is if there is some waiting in the wings they would be playing now.

Id put my money on someone with a more pure shot. His shot is kinda ugly but it does go in quite a bit. Not so smooth though
I don't much care how it looks but he also has a set shot. endurance is under rated in this contest.

being able to jump is just part of it. can you be creative at the same time. we will see who all officially enters. Ben Johnson sounded pretty confident. high jumpers can rise up.
