If you are serious about playing next level then you have to play Aau imo.

Sumner Academy star Armand Brisbane is a starting DB there so hopefully we can get a nice channel heading there over time.

I know of Isaiah Richardson and the Sykes brothers. I only know much about it from having met coach Johnson at Sumner Academy.

I don't know many but there are a bunch out there. MoKan is the big one. Coach Mo is involved with a team I believe. I don't know if I am going to get too involved in reporting AAU teams but if you are looking for a team I can post to try and help make that happen. Send me your info.
I have watched alot of kvl games this year on boys and girls side seems to me coaching talent is way down most coaches dont know how to adjust to game time situations . After watching aau very disappointed with this level of coaching. Thoughts?
AAU to me honestly has a higher level of basketball IQ because everyone on a AAU team are there because they want to be. There are many high school basketball players that are not full time like that so therefore the game is degraded. You would have to be a little more specific and what exactly you think is lacking in the coaching areas. Obviously there are things I don't like but I don't feel like there aren't any coaches that can't do it. My disagreement or questions are just my opinions and by no means correct. No level even college is void of bad coaching decisions or strategies.
Will the piper vs ottawa game be made up ?
That would be a good 4A test for Piper. I don't know officially but I would guess it would need to be a mutual desire to do so meaning standing at the end of the year when it comes to sub-state. Friday may play a major role in that. Both Piper and Basehor have something to play well for the remainder of the season. I wouldn't want to play Atchison.

What do you tell a kid thats not getting D2 looks, but cant afford to goto a NAIA?
College football scholarships is not the only way to het money for school. pel grants and financial aid are available. as a last resort a student loan. A college education is an investment and my wife for example had to get student loans. This is a big discussion about transformative assets.

I think it is good as long as it comes with assistance in getting an education. It is an opportunity to continue to play on the field and get a degree. No it is not D1 but it is still a great accomplishment.

I would think a few of the seniors would get an opportunity to sign some where. jake Phillips and Corey McCleary specifically. I haven't heard anything yet though.
Do you think people dont full understand JUCO's. I see alot of negative love on Bailey going to Bccc. I think its a great spot for him. Jucos = chance to raise your stock. The Kjccc is some of the best football around, short of D1.
There are a lot if factors involved in going D1 and I don't think it is people look down on JUCOS its that it is not the ultimate goal. they see a dominant season like Bailey's and think if that doesn't get d1 what does? Jucos offer a ton of kids many of which are back home because they didn't make the roster so that is part of it. a juco offer to me is a chance to come try out not any type of guarantee.
Do you think Lansing will go all the way??
They will go to state but there are 3 very good 5A teams. I won't say they can't do it but it is going to be a challenge. I can't wait to watch!

I don't have any plans to expand. I have a different model in that I want to know what is going on at the schools that I cover and expanding would just spread me a bit thinner. There is a plenty great talent but I am focused in KCAL and KVL. I will open our combine up to out of my area and work outs for football as well.

Do they do it by class? Those rankings don't really matter for anything. They just need to focus on the results of the KVL which they have a firm hold of and being the number 1 seed in their substate.
