Recruiting is a powerful thing. I have a tie to one of the players so I won't go off the deep end on this subject. I will say there is some manipulation there. A 4A team beating 6A and 5A teams like a drum shouldn't be feasible.

Travon jones could be a POY Candidate if it weren't for all the penalties
He wont get the carries. He would have another 140 or so but how do you know those penalties isn't what freed him for the long runs. Having depth is awesome but it doesn't lend itself to awards. I do think highly of Jones and Owens. Both are playing well.

I wouldnt say he gets it by default. The numbers have to be there. Defense is harder to evaluate. Our PoY is about what you do this year. If the numbers are there then yes he could be a candidate.

Injuries will be the thing to watch with them. I really dont mind their record. This week will start the real story for them.

I dont do one by league. Kushinberry at Atchison, Brown at Schlagle, Patton or Roark at Sumner.

Top 5 CB in the KCAL
Gill, Singleton, Harrison are those that stood out. Schlagles corners have played well. No one can throw the ball really to have a corner stand out.
Basehor and ward prediction
basehor by 2 TD's. I will organize a walk if Ward is able to win.
POY candidates in mind?
Byers is the only name I will put out there now. If he keeps present pace he is a sure thing. Williams has the yards but not the TD's right now. If Gill can keep up he would be in the discussion. I won't count Koch out but saw he is in a cast. Not sure he is going to be throwing it much. There is still a long way to go.
