They will likely get to the playoffs. How far is a complete crap shoot but I know I wouldn't bet against Brindle. #winner

Piper Bastketball next year
I got to chat with Coach Wallace about that while he was pitching batting practice. I will be sleeping on Piper but they will have Vince Eskina who will need to put up POY type numbers for them to be successful. They will lean on Jones at the PG position. Daryl Stewart transferred so we will have to see who steps up. A lot of seniors took up a lot of time so inexperience will be a big issue. Eskina and Beebe will have to be leaders.
Bonner Springs football next year?
Lost a lot of production although I am interested in the young RB. Hoffine, Freese will be back with COnner Byers looking to take over at QB. I hope to see all these young men at the combine.

With Mill Valley independent for football, what's your predicted order of finish for KVL football?
That is actually a good question. I guess they will still play Lansing and possibly Turner. This is totally off the top of my head. Piper, Lansing, Basehor, Bonner, Turner, Tonganoxie, Ward.

What does Atchison have coming back in football, will they be able to make the play-offs this season?
From a skill position stand point you have Wykeen Gill that I am aware of. They have a another young WR that I am interested in seeing develop. He will be at the Combine on May 3rd. Will have an eye on him. Grippen, Munsen I believe are also back on defense. They are going to be young next year. Not sure I see them making the playoffs with Piper, Ward and Sumner. I think Sumner takes a step forward if a few of the basketball players come out.

I really don't think I can do the things I want at home in KCK and cover both at the level I do now. I honestly am looking to create coverage that everyone wants but only my leagues get. I want to be the best at what we do. This way my home town has an advantage in a small sense. EKL is more than welcome though to participate in our combines, tournaments and things of that nature. Football combine May 3 is open to everyone.
Who replaces Joe since he dropped
Dontae Gibson. Zach McNabb will replace an injured Paul Berry.
Who won the three point contest?
Travis Dooley is in the lead. we will see what Zach, chase and drew are able to do Saturday morning. Dooley only missed three of fifteen. Downtown James grizzle is tied for second with Evan Brull.

I am not at all mad. Joe has been very supportive of shukc and again I understand. The KVL team is going to he great Monday. I don't have a help of a lot to do.
The comments I see on here regarding basketball are disheartning. Many of the ?s or comments must come from people who only wish they could have played. If you don't have positive words to say about a player then just keep those thoughts to yourself. The world is tough enough and this should be fun

This is Shelby McBride, you can choose to post this or not post. I find it disheartening that we are providing yet another public forum where people, mostly adults, are allowed to anonymously bash on young athletes. They have enough pressures, should we really be enabling this?
I don't edit this as much as I should. So of course I will share. I will get others opinions on this as well. Fair feedback.
While McPherson admittedly did not shoot as well as he would have liked, many of his shots that he did make were clutch! He was a true asset to this team this year and will be a key returner. He provided lock down defense on the opposing team's best player most of the time. Move on!

I watched the KU spring game and Ben Johnson still isn't ready to make an impact. Even though he still is a freshmen. I've always thought he was a little overrated. Just has size

Mcpherson is the most overated guard in the kvl stats dont lie and he shog a miserable 30 % from the field and had alot of turnovers
Still was a sophomore and was clutch for Basehor. He will progress. too much speed. how do you know he shot 30%? just talking?

I heard that but experience is important. Freshman team was good but the JV struggled.
