Who are some coaches you think Basheor should target if it were you?

I really don't know. I know Austin Bennett wants to be a head coach. A player that went through all levels before landing at KU. He absorbed a lot and has success as Basehor saw a few years ago as an offensive coordinator. Organized and young so he will relate to the players. Building a good reputation amongst the players as well through our workouts. I am sure there are many good candidates.

I mentioned in the email, that I'm sending you my 3rd single my most recent release and I have a 4th coming out soon.

Depends on what players do over the summer to get better. new QB but I think you have a play maker in McPherson to build around.

What players do Washington have thats returning

Harrison, Williams, Peoples are the main ones. Vigil at Center will be back as well which is important.

Do you think the playoff system is slightly broken? A team like ward that got killed all season long played two even worse team in their district so they could give tongie a first round bye.

I think all teams should play one more regular season game and the districts should only send 1 team each.

I will check it out. I am not just interested in promoting sports. If we have talented musicians I will do that as well.

What do you think of mill valley basketball?

Good back court. Need to see what else they have in the way of bigs with the loss of Muldoon. Big losses from last year so we will see.

What do you think of mill valley football next year?

I am looking forward to it. With that many in the program you hopefully reload. A lot of seniors on the squad. Very anxious to see what Koch and Jegen do next year. Hope to get both out to work outs.

Piper's all league honors could mostly be contributed to not a ton of football games won in league. Not necessarily talent. That same talent that wasn't nominated for all league took them farther than every other KVL team. Excluding Mill Valley.

I would say that Piper over achieved. Not to diminish but I don't know where you swap anyone out on the league team except for maybe Eikenbary if he hadn't started so slow.

That's wat I was tryna say. Hopkins is a decent coach they just don't have any talent right now

Enough talent. I would not say any.

Piper returns 11 starters on defense and 8 on offense. Thoughts? Championship caliber?

You lose the QB so that can't be diminished. We will see how the O-Line grows and improves. They need Ortiz become an animal on the line along with his younger team mates.

That is somewhat a slap in the face to say Piper has not enough talent. Coaching is good but players win games. To rule out talent being a factor in the Piper program is absurd. 4 district and BiDistrictChamps championships, 2 regionals, and a sectional championship is not all coaching.

I was speaking more in terms of what they did this year. There was a lot of coaching to get the talent up to make the run that they did. You can see on league teams and even in our selections for best players in the area that there was not the talent this team had last year. So I should clarify my last statement to say this year specifically. Last few years at Piper they were loaded with talent. Some talent is developing as well so that speaks to the program they are building.

Idk y people think basehor is always gonna be good. The only reason they were good is because of Ben and the Murphy's

Talent rotates through. Ask Sumner, Ask Schlagle and ask Wyandotte in the next few years. Ask Tonganoxie.

Wow, you really do not like Basehor. Steve Hopkins didn't do his job, which is why he was let go. Unfortunately there was much more going on regarding the treatment of players than just the W-L record. He wasn't forced out because of the team's failure...

Then why is he coaching at all (Track) if he was treating players poorly. I love Basehor btw.

Do you think Basehor can pick it back up next year with a new coach and several all league players, or will they tank it like this year?

I think anyone that put a lot of stock in what coaching will do for a team will be grossly disappointed. Who ever takes this job won't win and if they are forcing coaches out of Basehor because of perceived lack of success is doomed to fail. Talent wins and not just 5 or 6 guys. To win in the playoffs you need 10 - 15. I say that and think about Piper who flys in the face of my theory a bit.

Williams is an elite back is he not?

I wouldn't say elite. Elite to me means you have D1 offers in hand, ACT 24+, 4.0 GPA. That is an elite back. I think WIlliams in good but elite is rare air.

Shawnee Mission South moved back up to 6A. But Higland Park moved up to 5A.

Ahh. Well that helps the conversation. once you get to state you going to be dealing with a single game elimination. Are they capable of getting to Topeka. yes but that is 4 months away.

What do you expect of Washington backfield next after losing bowens

Next man up for Bowens. If the next man up has been watching and working hard then they should be fine.

State Championship for Lansing Boys Basketball?

I need to see them a few times before I say that. Shawnee Mission South was pretty young and return both guards from last year. I say get to state first.

Will lansing girls basketball season be successful or did losing Bromell affect them?

Losing Bromell can't help. Best I recall the girls team was not very good at all.

But bonner still has their best player

Jordan Jackson and Dotson are the only returners I am aware of. Kubas I think played last year. I am not sure they are going to carry them past Piper, Lansing, Mill Valley or Basehor. Tonganoxie and Bishop Ward could be an issue as well. Luckily they do play Turner twice.

Could atchisons all league center have effect on the other centers by playing the nose gaurd posistion on defense?

I am not sure who we are talking about.

What are your thoughts on bonner basketball this year?

The league is so tough I can't see them going much higher than middle of the road in league. Little shot coming out of this substate.
