There is a list labeled KVL Team that was put together by what is believed to be a Basehor fan. I haven't seen it so not sure who is on it.

This list, of course with added Basehor players, was then tweeted to some of the other KVL coaches, as if those coaches don't take these honors seriously and put thought into them. Disrespectful to the coaches and players who made the list. If they want to make a list, call it something else.

What do you think about this list a Basehor person wrote and labeled "KVL HONORS". Yes, everyone has a right to their own opinion but if they want to make their own list shouldn't it be called something else? I would think KVL should take offense to this.
I honestly haven't seen it. Depends on the context of which it is written.

Privately I thought HP was a legit threat to Lansing. If Lansing didn't play a full game was my concern but played the best defensive game I have seen since I started covering high school.

You don't lose this many seniors of this skill level and not take a step back. I don't know that I get the impression that Briggs is walking away though after this season. Half the challenge for a coach is to develop talent.

Highland. Heights is good but I really think highly of HP.
How impressive is it that Schneider played all 36 minutes today and still had enough gas in the tank to make big buckets in OT?
He has been everything you can ask during this tournament. Last year I was screaming from the stands to shoot the ball but this year zero complaints. be tired on Sunday. Huge matchup with McMurrary today.

I like Owens and he finished strong but I wouldn't say he was the best on the team. Eskina and Jennings sure you could make a case for them. Your comment is to insinuate that Luke Long doesn't do any little things. they had a balanced team.

I have played and coached a lot of basketball and many times the best player in a team is 4th or 5th in scoring. Defense, ball handling, unselfish play, and leadership make a team win! That said, it is much easier to notice a scorer in the stats and those who don't know the game are easily impressed

I am constantly surprised at the people who feel the best players are always the ones who score the most. Granted, that is very important, but the best player on a team may just be the one who can score and who also lets others score. Don't you think this builds team cohesiveness?
What you are describing is a role player and yes they are extremely important. The game is won or lost based on points therefore it is one of the most important aspects of a players. I look at assists as points as well.
What surprises you the most, a tall uncoordinated player leading his team in scoring or a small undersized one who leads the team in scoring? Which do you think needs to work hardest?
If you have a big man who isn't coordinated leading the team in scoring you probably are not winning many games. Benny Parker was small but the best player on the court most times. Skill and effort make a great player.
Who has all committed to play for the all star game?
Actually 39 of the 40 are set and I have the uniform sizes. Emily Soetart may have a soccer game and some may arrive late because of baseball but everyone has responded positively. I am so happy about that too!!
Who do you trust most in your life?
A select few. I struggle honestly with trusting anyone.
