Reading these, it amazes me no one is questioning that other list but yet they always question you! I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact he is from Basehor? Maybe that gives you some insight to all of your critics. LOL

Yes and I really think it is 100% in the name he used. if he used his name I don't think there is any discussion at all.

What is coach smith and the redmen up against in their league next year? Any new faces?

No it is the faces that are coming back. Sumner could have a young crop of talent playing. Washington has their Qb and all shukc performer rb. wyandotte will be interesting but will have to replace our offensive poy.

What do you predict for Tongie football next year?

Lost a lot of seniors. Sommers will be a player to watch but will likely be a rebuilding year.

Will anybody in KVL beat Piper next year in football?

Minus Mill Valley we will see. when you have a new Qb you have a major and important unknown.

I read this list and also have no problem with someone devising their own. You have SHUKC league honors. I do think it is wrong to attach KVL's name to it. The list is not the same so it should not be labeled as 2013-2014 KVL Honors. It should be labeled Beemolo honors.

Our list covers both leagues we cover. it is just another form of recognition but yes call it Beemelo.

Mill Valley lost big to Lansing in the first game. The game plan designed by McBride for that totally changed how Mill Valley normally played throughout the year. BL won the league that year. Mcbride told his players in practice afterwards. Ask them.

Are we going to see some coverage of baseball in the area this year?

I will follow and report scores. How many games I actually make won't be as much. I have to spend the next few months getting out of the dog house.

I still don't understand why people are hung up on a guy making his list for all league? I have no idea what they're talking about but it sounds like he's just stating his opinion. Can he not do that?

I do it. I think they are making a big deal about the name which sounds like it is from the league. yes he certainly can. he followed the league.

It is a shame that a select few reflect so negatively on an entire fan base. At least we now know the disrespect shown to the rest of the KVL league with that fake list (which I would think the KVL would have an objection to), is reserved for their own coach as well. Very sad.

Jack Dale and his family was seen attending several BL games this year including the sub state championship, where he sat a few rows up from the BL bench.

I saw him and spoke to him after the game.

That is mcbrides problem he always saves the "best" for last but it is usually too late. i think he already thinks he is mayor. would hate to see basehor start recruiting players like lansing has been known to do kind of diminishes the high school experience for kids that have been in the program

I view McBride as one of the better coaches in the State. The next few years will decide his legacy. But as a person, McBride ranks at the bottom if the list for me. He treats his non starting, elite varsity players as garbage and he is very arrogant. He has ran off a lot of players over the yea

I am not privy. I know he is pretty proud of his JV team going undefeated.

McBride helped the Mill Valley coach develop a game plan to beat Lansing a few years ago. The two coaches live close to each other in Shawnee. Look back at the records. It will be glaring when you find it.

McBride has consistently been a top coach for a number of years. Coming from a Lansing fan who has a strong dislike for Basehor basketball. If you think he isn't a great coach, you obviously don't know basketball

and yes he did hold pat out until 12 seconds left? if you are trying to teach him a lesson why put him back in at all? makes no sense. don't start him the next game or something else but font penalize the entire team for the "t" pat plays with emotion and will get a "t" every once in awhile

I was not in the huddle but I am probably not sitting him. Considering he us a junior I would likely have him throw up a few times running in practice but again I don't have all the details.

If those rumors are true, what do you think about basehor next year?

I really would hate to speculate on that. I would be a bit disappointed for Tonganoxie. He is a good player.

until you have a kid in his "system" you would not know why parents complain. he plays a lot of mind games, runs kids off, and walks around like he is the best coach in the world. he does nothing nothing to promote kids to the next level and even refuses to put stats on any sites. very egotistical

I disagree with any coach that doesn't post stats but coach has always been willing to share. Not every coach does and to be honest aau is where you get recruited period. High school games is about competition but if you want a scholarship it isn't happening from your high school coach. if you want to get recruited I would ask who you play aau with not what high school you go to.

I think if McBride had won a state championship he would be nominated for mayor and everyone would say he was smart and saved his best for last. Are some districts so spoiled they start pointing fingers when things don't go our way? All this complaining diminishes the effort given by the players.

I agree players have some accountability but a player can't call timeouts or switch defenses he was very unprepared for el dorado and it showed holding a player out for 4+ minutes to prove a point in the most crucial time of a game was selfish and unfair to the seniors on that team

I didn't get to watch the end. my connection actually dropped when Pat got the tech. I didn't know he didn't come back in the game. That would be a fair criticism because he was having a fantastic game. That is a discussion point.

Mcbride is a mediocre coach with a lot of talent not a huge knock on him but he is a system coach and refuses to play differently based on opponents or flow of his players I have watched every game for the last 3 years and I can tell you almost to the second when he will sub a player in the first qt

Having a set rotation is a good thing because the players know exactly when expect to get in. McBride has had consistent success which I can't imagine why anyone would want to complain about it.

Mcbride couldnt adjust at all this year no set plays, no inbound plays, never pressed never switched up defenses wouldn't call a timeout to save his life! His answer to everything was to just put in a sub. He was exposed by el dorado and if you didnt see that then you arent very knowledgeable

I obviously don't get to watch every minute of every game. I think though we will disagree. You don't have hundreds of wins and two state titles by being a bad coach. I get they lost but in the end the players have some accountability in wins and losses. I saw them seven or eight times this year and never thought they were being out coached.

I want to give a big conrats to the lansing lions they played very well this year had a chance to be involved with some of the players this last year on aau class act of players. Their coach is far above other coaches in the league and it showed he was able to adjust unlike other coaches(mcbride

I was wondering if this would become a topic. A coaches job is to guide his team and put the players in a position to win. Briggs did a fantastic job this season but he was not giving that super human performance we saw yesterday. McBride didn't get a technical or miss a shot or will the other team not to miss a free throw. Basehor and Lansing were good and well coached teams.

Beemolo app. And yes, players are different so it is not a representation of the KVL list even though it implies it is the KVL list.

Poor use of naming the list then. Call it the Beemolo Team.
