McKinzy is already committed. Dumler should be. We will see how the year goes before going to far on the recruiting trail.

Do you think housh is D2 material?
I could see that. D2 or NAIA. He plays on both sides of the ball and is an athlete. Nothing wrong with going to a JUCO and then to a D2 or NAIA.
Zack is number 18.
I will keep an eye out. I don't know that I remember anything that stuck out Friday. I could be forgetting.

Not really a whole lot to talk about so far. I think I saw Paulakovich has 5 catches. Tucker had a good catch against Basehor.
How do you feel about Turner this year?
I really hope for their sake that the offensive line figures something out. Could be a long season but they have a chance to find some success on offense this week against Lansing.
Did you think bonner would do better then last year bringing in the new back mason
I leaned more on Knernshield having a better season. Mason is a shocker that puts them on a completely different level. 2 weeks and I will know all I need to know about Bonner.
Is there a reason you favor piper in every sport
I picked Tonganoxie to win the KVL in football. Piper school and community are huge supporters of our efforts here at SHUKC so yes I like them. I won't have any issue picking against them though. I would guess that happens this week.
Have you heard anything about the junior defensive starters From Atchison High: Tyler Harris, Josh Munsen, and Chase Grippin?
I believe Harris and I chatted on twitter a couple of times. Munsen we talked about this morning on the radio show with Tanner Huntington. He had the big return on INT. I don't know Grippin.

I give them a world of credit. I think they are a tad one dimensional on offense right now but you don't have a program of that size and get no credit. I think they have something special in Koch. I said just yesterday he would be my leader in the club house after two weeks of the season for offensive POY. Some good games coming up? No credit but I have picked them two weeks in a row? really?

Dumler is the only one jumping out at me. There may be one or two on Mill Valley that I don't know about. There are a few that deserve a shot as a smaller D1 or D2 like Berry, Jackson, Bailey. I wouldn't be too shocked if a player like Holloway could land on a D2.
How about Zack Carter of basehor?

This year there are two kinds of teams in the KVL the score 60 points a game and play track football teams like Bonner, Lansing, Turner, and maybe even tongie. Then there's the slow the game down big defense teams like Piper and Basehor. Which kind of game play do you prefer?
I am an offense guy although I have an appreciation for good defense. I really just like clean games without a lot of penalties. I think the 60 point games will calm down as the year goes on but given a choice to call a game I would take the track meet.

Are you only bringing in qb's and coachs to the radio show, and are you only going to do 1 player at a time? I feel two would be good for conversation.
You have to keep in mind that I am winging this whole thing. I have never done a second of radio outside these two shows. No it will not just be QB's and I would be open to 2 players at a time but there are only 4 mics. We will see how it goes the next few weeks. I will be reaching to out to a RB this week. I do want to do coaches though to again create a connection with the coaches and the fan base.
No doubt Berry is a stud, the question about who has it worse I think focused on the fact they both have been on the run and getting hit a lot! Nothing negative on Paul, just a point that life as a QB is much more difficult without a strong line!

Jordan mentioned him to me over the summer. There was also buzz out of the scrimmage. I don't think we could have expected this. I am impressed.
What do you think about Lansing's Hector Porter at FullBack and and Linebacker
He is doing well as an outlet out of the back field. I would need to watch him on defense. It can't be very good. I think he is a hard working young man. I hope he can help rally the trooops.
Key players for Atchison?
Huntington, housh, gassman. Smith is showing well.
Tongie hasn't played anybody good and their offense is simple. I guarantee they don't score more than 14.
Against Piper. I would take that bet all day. Atchison will be a playoff team.

I would turn that around. They won't score 40 but they may only need 20.
