Preseason Allstar kvl team??

Voorhees, Jackson, Younger, Schneider, Long, Harper, Bailey, Brull, Maybe Paul berry from Turner if he is playing basketball. I will take one from each team at the least. KVL team will crush KCAL team. Not unless some of these guys choose not to play in the game.

Why'd you pick Washington over Turner?

I assumed we are talking about football next year. Williams, Harrison, Peoples. Turner - Berry.

What did you think of the guys from last year that signed to play baseball from the kvl

I remember the kid from Ward. Ramirez I think. I honestly don't know much more than that. Think he went to Baker with my guy Neal Boyce.

Well I've heard of their big men, Geron Thomas and Xavier DeLaTorre Turner Basketball just watch them this year..

I will do that. KVL is loaded so if they can make some noise in league I would be impressed. I look forward to it.

Do you cover baseball?

I didn't last year as closely as I did for football and basketball. I started paying attention around districts with Ward, Piper and Sumner all doing well. I will likely watch more this year.

How do you think Turner Basketball Is going to do this year since they have all these newcomers ??

I am not aware of any newcomers. That program really took a hit a few years back when freshman will McKnight left the city. I don't know what they have coming back this year. A lot of schools are going to be real young.

Don't sleep on them youngins coming up at bonner! Them and the older leadership will raise some eyebrows!

I have heard about the young guards but they are still young. I need to see them play. I am sleeping right now so they will have to make me wake up.

I guess 2 state titles at basehor in basketball isn't success? Some people this site make no sense

You will find in most walks of life that there will always be some that don't make a lot of sense. I think where Basehor fans are off is in thinking that 5 or 6 get it done in football and basketball. That is simply not the case.

When is your basketball media day?

Vernon and I are discussing. We want the coaches to get at least get practice going before calling the media day. Stay tuned.

Whats your thoughts on Washington Hoops this year?

same as schlagle. when you lose that much production you just don't know. no judgement till I get a look see.

Thoughts on Schlagle Basketball this year?

media day is going to be important for me because of all the seniors. no judgement from me just yet.

Thoughts on Sumner Academy's Basketball Team this year with only one returning Starter (Sykes) ? Will they break .500? Or will their record be worse than last years

I think .500 will be a struggle for many of the kcal. you never know though if someone will step up and how much Sykes improved.

Hope you aren't one of those who believes KVL compares to frontier....

I would need to review the teams in the frontier. I know Bonner and a few other schools want in there.

With your latest criticism of KVL snubs, do you think it is really a big deal to make those lists? What about the players that make them in two sports?

I think the recognition is important. like I said on the radio these are the most popular posts on the site and the last bit of recognition they will get. so yes.

Who's stopping Piper football next year?

not sure yet. with the schedule changes we may see some new teams next year on the schedule.

I'm from Basehor and can personally say we do our best to work hard and feel like we certainly do so. All players are involved with lifting and running. We simply didn't get it done this year, all we can do is work for next year. Thank you for what you do and don't overlook us too much next year.

How did Jones get on the SHUKC team as a corner and he's a safety

Now that is a good point. we will ask him to play out of position a bit?

I don't understand Basehor's lack of success, they have the best powerlifting program in the state arguably and one of the best strength coaches.

Are the football players taking advantage of it? That part I don't know but for that to be a major factor a good number of football players would have to be making it successful.

It's kind of a joke your coach of the year award. Mill Valley should win hands down. It's a joke the Washington coach is even in the discussion.

Not if you take into consideration the job it took to get to the point that he was winning league. This is difficult for a KVL fan to fathom but that program was in the toilet and he led it back to an undefeated league title. Not all coaching success are solely based on wins and losses. I can make the case for all the coaches.

In your opinion who do you think will have the best backcourt in the KCAL?

Wyandottes back court should be the best imo.

Again with mill valley but what do you think Koch and Jegan can do next season?

I am sure there are many players that will be able to help. Koch rushed for close to 1000 yards in very few games and Jegen had a good season. The question was how I think they would do and I think that is the foundation of which to build off of. I expect them to do well.

Have you seen next year's districts for football? Not released yet, but very interesting. Tongie, Basehor, and Piper all in the same district. Should be very fun games.

Yes I saw them. That is going to be a good one. Not sure what Tongie will have a hell of a lot coming back so we will see.
