Anything on bonner guards

Too many turnovers. Some were flat mind boggling. I liked the McGee twins. Game hangs on Brendan. same situation as last year. if he can handle the rock and keep Jordan off the ball then they are better off. Brenden has the tools but thinks too much. McGee's need to hit the dinner table and they will be cooking with oil.

Thoughts on Isaiah Richardson Soph. from Harmon?

Saw him before the game he raised an eyebrow just with his legnth. he is not a post and his game reminded me of tashon prince. he isn't that long but that is what I thought of. because they put bigs on him he did a very good job creating space with out doing a help of a lot. Needs to stay out of foul trouble and not rely primarily on the jumper as he has a strong move to the basket. high ceiling for him.

That actually is a tough question. right now Ward. Bonner and Turner may have something to say something about that though.

With Schneider and Gibson drawing opponents top defenders, Jackson should continue to light up the scoreboard!

Atchison is a ball squad that needs to be watched having 5 guys in double digits and the senior tanner with a dunk in each game and see no greed from any player young squad gonna be tough

I will hold off for now getting too excited. I have the 1/7 matchup with Washington noted for Atchison if we are going to take them serious this season. Pleasant Ridge scored 22 points in their first game and are obviously horrible so the win last night was expected. How you did it was good playing team ball. I spoke to coach Hall about getting Hudl access. I would love to watch the game.

I actually thought about the Basehor game before the break before deciding to hold off until after the first of the year. I will sit and make the schedule in the coming weeks.

I don't know that Jordan would have helped much last night against Paola. He isn't going to stop all the turnovers. This is basics first as some of the turnovers were on the very first pass of the possession. One on one basketball isn't going to win any games. It is a bad loss against a very good team. Write it off and start working to improve for the next one.

I don't know who Meyer is to do that.

Its not a secret that Basehor will be good. Despite playing one of the top teams in the state it almost sounded like Basehor fans wanted validation of that. I don't find it to be necessary. I honestly haven't seen Muldoon this year but he would need to take some steps from last year to be a force down low. I am working to get Chase on the radio show to talk some Basehor hoops. I will work to confirm soon.

What states does the bobby bell award cover?

I would say the metro area. I don't know how much in MO but it went to Gardner and even Baldwin. I don't know officially.o

Bailey has the potential as a receiver. I am pretty disappointed if he didn't get a legit look. Beebe, Antonio Moore should get looks as well. Jessica Wayne is. d1 prospect by the time she graduates. Logan Koch, Christian Jegen both have the potential.

You indicated an awards dinner for area players this weekend for football. Is it still on and who is the contact person for this?

It isn't a dinner. I would say ceremony. plenty of highlights etc. kckcc auditorium. I am your contact so hit Mr up with questions.

Did you see the all state teams? Lots of local talent represented, led by McKinzy and Bailey as 1st team All State selections.

I did. I mentioned this on the radio. real happy to see all the recognition.

Do you cover softball during the spring?

I have been spotty at best for the Spring sports. I didn't watch much of anything during track. I reported some scores in both sports. I don't know yet this year how much I will do.

Who are some of the most underrated players from this year and previous years ? Football wise

Krystian Abbott, Hector Porter, Colin McQuillan, jared Knernshield, Mansfield at Sumner. Just a few.

Have you looked for help with the girls coverage?? Maybe the local school paper sports journalist (students). The girls don't get the recognition they deserve and have worked for, just like the boys.

I am open to help from anyone that may want to post information about the girls and cover them more than what I do. Yes I am open to students participating on the site. I wish I could watch everything closely and I agree that the girls do work as hard but we did have an All Star game for the girls. We will have an All Star Game again this year.

How come it is you hardly ever talk about girls it's always about guys? When people ask you questions about players you should also mention girls not just guys.

This is a fair critism of what I do. Can't promise I will fix it as I work to get a fee things established. I can say this is not completely true. I often lump athletes like Jennifer Whitledge in some of my answers. The real answer is that I am not as in tune with the girls.

I don't know where Gibbs or Weeks will land but they deserve a shot somewhere. hopefully an d two down to a juco. they would both make a judo squad on effort alone.e

How do you know the Murphy's?

Covering Basehor. Their uncle Dennis Murphy is a good friend of SHUKC. He is in the circle of people I seek opinions on which way to go with our efforts. I was a few years late for the Twins. I wish I had the opportunity to promote them a little more earlier. I saw them when my cousin first started playing with MoKan.

Who are some of the most underrated athletes to come out if your coverage area ?

Khalil Bailey is flying so far under the radar in regards to college recruiting. Kyle Dumler as well. Tanner Huntington from Atchison. He should get recruited to at least a JUCO. He has a nose for the ball.
