I know you don't follow soccer that much, but I heard piper and mill valley have some pretty talented teams in the kvl.

yeah I saw mill valley won 10-0 in a match. pretty sick. it is just a matter of Time. there is never enough.

Tongy has beaten MV in the past. They will either play their game (ball control, move the sticks, grind it out), MV will overlook them and make key mistakes at the wrong times allowing for a Tongy upset...or MV will play to their potential, start fast, and cruise to a big win. Both are solid teams.

well said.

What about mill valleys 23 seniors?

those 23 seniors played as much as tonganoxie? a lot of those seniors couldn't have played at key positions. not enough credit for short and windmiller that you just plug in the next guy and stay at the level. they are good and tongie is the under dog on the road. I just chose the upset.

I honestly don't think you know what your up for but well see, maybe if they loose it will open your eyes to what a good football looks like.

ok. having 1400 kids to choose from and a solid coach who has built a program helps. not unreasonable for a group of seniors to overcome that. take basehor and the Murphy twins.

Please tell me what Tongi is going to bring to the table on Friday?

Cole Holloway who led the kvl in rushing last year and doing well this year, senior. senior qb Tyler ford senior qb who is not turning the ball over this year and running hard. a senior rb/th Shane levy who is running well. a legit three headed option running game. 22 total seniors who are all doing their job. Paul berry had success alone running against mill valley and tongie will be going against a dinged up back field for mill valley. mv is good up front. it is just my opinion and one I can defend.

Are you a dumbass? The day tongie beats Mill Valley is the day your actually noticed as a real sport reporter.

You don't get to where I am in life being dumb. Now an ass could be debated by many people I know.

Through this point in the season, whos is your MVP in the coverage area? Jackson, Bailey, Knoch?

We are a few players deep on this one. McKinzy, Jackson, Abbott, Koch, Bailey. I don't think you can exclude what Trevon Mason has meant to that Bonner running attack. Leading the area in rushing and rushing TD's. I would say these would be my top 6. I do plan to have all the SHUKC staff involved in selecting the team and player of the year honors. This years award ceremony is going to be long process and one I take very serious.

I just want to say thank you and you do a great job for sports in the area. Keep it up!

Thank you for the kind words. I really do enjoy it.

Where do you think Luciano could end up playing if he has a great season?

I don't know. A kicker highlight doesn't necessarily need game film I wouldn't think. You could go outside and kick away from all angles to show what you could do. I don't know what kind of looks he has gotten or if he is marketing himself.

Seems like there is a lot of love for Koch from MV. He is a very talented athlete and solid running QB. But again, put someone like Berry, Jackson, Ford or even Abbott (more of a passer who can also run) behind that line and I would bet their rushing yardage would be just as impressive.

Yes there is a Koch fan out there. I don't mind. I want to reach the MV players too. They have some good ones.

Do you think Koch can play D1 football?

Yes. He is putting up good numbers early enough to get the exposure. Whether he works the next few years hard enough to make it happen is yet to be seen.

What do you see Koch doing vs tongie?

I watched the turner game. I don't think he is going to run as freely. I think this will be a grinder of a game. time of possession will be key. he just needs to stay smart and ahead of the chain.

Thoughts this week with Wyandotte and McKinzy

I expect him to remember what happened last year and to play hard. He looked to be on a mission last week.

The score last year between MV and Tongie was 59-0. I'll come back to you after Friday, probably won't be any different from last year

Tongie also got beat 63 - 13 by Piper last year. So you know what that means? Last year and this year are not related!

Ive been to Wards last 3 games Wooten looks good on their d line he may be a choice for defensive player of the year your thoughts....

Defensive player of the team for the team or you are saying the area? I need to watch just Wooten in a game and check him out.

Why are you picking a tonganoxie that hasn't proven one thing this season, over a Mill Valley team that beat a pretty good Manhattan team? Honestly, I feel like it's a no brainier and tongie on the road? Mill Valley beat them 59-0 at home...

comical. 22 seniors. it will be tough but that score is silly.
