Did you ever find out why Washingtons head coach stepped down?

You are about 2 months ago on this topic. I didn't pry but we haven't had an opportunity to talk about it.

Are you gonna go to the ward vs mill valley game Friday?

We are doing wyandotte vs atchison. We are planning turner vs ward.

Why is there frequent turn-over in head-coaches for football? It seems like every 2-3 years, at least 2 schools are looking for a new coach.

This unfortunately is true. There however is no greater challenge than to coach a football team in KCK. There are a ton of disadvantages that make building this up very difficult. Circumstances have not been in favor. I really hated to see Salsgiver step down as I thought he was ready to build things up but developing enough depth in a city school is not easy.

You can get college credit (dual credit) through Donnelly at other schools. They get it at Lansing

But not at Ward. Ok my bad. It really doesnt matter.

That comment on Ward being next to Donnelly is completely irrelavent you dumbass

I try. Does Donnelly not provide college level courses to the students of Ward?

Any D1 or D2 potential on the lady stallions basketball team ?

Scales should get some looks. Without knowing act scores and such it is hard to tell what level.

What about derek sykes and juance marshall?

Not sure on Juance with the injury. Not sure if a juco would give him a shot. 100% up to Sykes if he plays and what level.

Any thoughts of who will be playing in the all star game for girls kcal league?

I would have to look at the seniors. Each school gets at least one. Have to be a senior.

any Idea where the Washington football boys going next year ?

A step backwards is likely. Lost a lot and their coach.

Any college potential kids on sumner academy's basketball team?

Taylor and Perkins has that type of potential. We will have to see what level. Hoping Perkins has a growth spurt. He could be special.

Thoughts on KCK's win against JCC? (Women's)

Big win for the lady blue devils. I knoe jccc was a thorn in their side last year along with highland. I would assume jccc is a big rival so again a good win.

Other teams lost in the first round as well, with what some would call a stacked team, yet they still consider themselves elite. Do you agree that talk should be saved for when they win with the cards they are dealt?

They are playing with the cards they were dealt. Its time to let this one go.

Piper was good for maybe two years. They had a streak if five years or so when they were one of the worst teams in the league. Yeah they went to state and lost in the first round. Want a cookie?

They are still good this year. Yes need to keep it going.

What are your thoughts on Cooper Kaifes (Mill Valley)?

He has game for sure. I am not sure there is a ton of growth in him as I met his dad at a game. It will be good to hear how good he will end up being.

Haha people are talking about piper with academic awards? But leave out Bishop Ward, the college preparatory school?

Having Donnelly next door helps.

does Piper have any people participating in Powerlifting?

I know Aaron Hawes is there. I saw a video. Sterling Owens I would expect to see there.

Piper too is a school with a lot of academic success and awards. You'd be able to see those proudly displayed outside our school if kids from other league schools would quit stealing those banners during sporting events that we host.

That is like the movie Major Payne.

If you want to look at ACT scores, Lansing has the highest in LV County by quite a bit actually. Basehor's not a bad school, though.

I will be honest my ACT score sucked but in the end I got my degree in Computer Science. That should be the measure. Do you get them through college?

Funny how Piper wasn't mentioned in that group of being "really good" and they went to state right along with those others mentioned. And more impressive, they did it with kids who had always lived in their district. Some things never change.

I think the list won state. Yes they were a good team but did not win league.

In 2013 basehor was a Blue Ribbon school. Only selected top notch academic schools get the honor of that prestigious award.

Great!! I would like to see awards for high schools with highest college graduation rates. Top priority should be to educate and prepare students for the next level.

Would you consider Basehor being a really good school to go to for education and sport wise?

I haven't researched the academic part much lately. Overall the school athletically is top notch from a facility and program perspective.

Basehor going undefeated is nice but it would be more impressive if they would have done it with some better KVL competition. The league is way down from the last couple of years when Basehor, Lansing, and Mill valley were really good the other league teams could give those top three good games

Thats not their fault. Basehor has played a strong out of league schedule. If they are able to run the table it will still be impressive.
