basehor game vs lansing [probably one of the worst officiating crews i have seen in over 20 years of high school basketball handed the game to lansing, basehor down one point then refs took over hope you are intelligent enough to know that lansings "superior" athletes did not win that game a ref did

I will get to watch the game again here shortly. I don't know that I would say that the game was handed. that is not giving Lansing enough credit. They blew the whistle a lot in both games tonight.

Prediction on Atchison vs. Schlagle?

Schlagle is really struggling with only 1 win so far this year. They got beat by 15 to Washington who lost to Atchison. I don't know that there is a direct correlation as Washington was on the road and made a serious charge at the end. Can Schlagle rattle and defend Atchison like Sumner did? I honestly haven't seen Schlagle but would roll with Atchison with the limited information I have on Schlagle.

Prediction on Lansing vs. Basehor?

I am curious to watch this one. Lansing played Basehor very well last year. I think Basehor will struggle with the athletic players of Lansing. Schneider, Gibson, Bailey all have above the rim bounce and length which again will he tough. Lansing by 5+. great game though that I am looking forward to broadcasting.

It would appear that for the first time I will be wrong. There is a faint flicker of hope but it is dim. Story line for Piper is to head to a tough Spring Hill tourney and look forward to playing hopefully Sumner or Eisenhower. Work to keep the second seed for substate and figure out in your two games against Basehor how to beat them.

Thoughts on Sumner beating Wyandotte? Marshall with a big scoring game . Young with a good defensive game vs Nunnallly . The older sykes brother dominating the boards .

First I have to say how wrong I was about Wyandotte. This is a bad loss. All props to the Sabres who are playing real well right now in league and appear to keep getting better. We saw the rebounding Friday night but I didn't know Marshall had game like that in him. Young could be a defensive stopper because he locked up Luster Friday. I am impressed Sumner!

I am going to guess that the Mill Valley team will be a little fired up to go against their former team mate Patrick Muldoon. I am sure Patrick will be fired up as well. I don't know the status of Wyatt for this game. Boatwright has a few games under his belt to get back in a groove. I think Basehor wins though by 8-10. I don't know that Mill Valley has the athletes or physicality necessary to knock off Basehor.

Why are some coaches willing to post stats and others aren't? I do find it funny that some of the ones who have been accused of 'padding' stats in the past are the one not posting.

I haven't had a coach say no to a request. some are old school because you can get information honestly from detailed stats. hell you could half way scout a team based on numbers. sure I guess coaches could pad stats but i don't know what you gain by doing so.

I know that refs can be inconsistent at times but the game was a little one sided between Atchison/Sumner last night.What did you think? I watched the game today again on tv and it even made me more of a skeptic!

I didn't think the calls were lopsided one way or the other. Atchison was in the penalty early in the fourth quarter so I am not sure which way you are asking about. Atchison has a few things to point to why they lost this game and it had little to do with the officials. 1. they couldn't get their offense going. I am about to post the game and you should watch and count the empty possessions and some of them they struggled just to get the offense started. The defense from Sumner had Gill near the half court line and at one point got him to go over and back. 2. They got the line and just didn't knock them down. I thought Atchison though showed some spunk twice getting it to 4 points. They just didn't knock down enough shots to get over the hump.

I don't say recruiting likely but Bishop Ward has an extremely small group of students to choose from. Unless that group of students consists of some talented players they are not going to compete. Students are attracted to baseball for Ward.
