Best kvl receivers? A brief description on them?
Khalil Bailey will be the stand out receiver this year. He has the size speed and jumping ability to be special at that position. Xavier Tucker at Ward will be another player to watch. Good speed and ability. Broc Lindsay, Jahron McPherson and Noah Alexander are young players to watch.
Whos winnin 4a substate this year coming up?

What are your thoughts on Jordan Jackson and what he could do in football, basketball and track?
I don't do this often but I would personally vouch for this young man. Another compliment I would give him is that I would hire him. 2500 yards in football is my goal for him and I think that is possible. Basektball it really depends on what is around him. If Brandon Dotson can play point guard and he can run off screens to shoot threes he can have a good season. Track i think he will head back to state in the triple jump.
Key player(s) for Sumner this year?
Derek Sykes, Ben Miller, Brian Cobbins. A lot of seniors left this team so a lot of potential for some young stars to shine for Sumner.
Thoughts on Nunnally from Wyandotte ?
It is his time now. There will be no more discussion from me about potential. that shipped has sailed. My expectations for Nunnally is KCAL POY. If he isn't putting the effort into his game to make that a possibility then he is falling short in my opinion. Very respectful young man the few times I have met him. He needs to be the Benny Parker 2011, Jujuan Taylor 2012 of the 2013 season. I am high on him!
How do you think bonner basketball will go this year for boys and girls?
Coach Oakes has a program so I am real optimistic that they will be fine. They lose a lot with Deegan and Hoffine leaving. Julianne Jackson could be the next star for the Braves as she could be a big time double double player. I got to personally play with the Dotson brothers and there is potential. We will have to see how they do. I don't know that Jordan Jackson is they type of basketball player to dominate a game. My guess is the boys struggle in a tough KVL.
What do you think Sumner overall record for football will be?
I am not going to make any friends at Sumner with the answer to this. I would say they will have a legit shot against Ward and Harmon. I don't know what the situation is with the first few non league games. So while I think highly of the school, coach and some of the players I again think we are rebuilding at Sumner. 2-6 or 2-7
Do you think Sumner's Basketball team this year will be better than last years ?
Not even close. Derek Sykes is good but Garvin, Tripp, Daniels is a lot of leadership and scoring. Coach Parra is going to be rebuilding this year.
Now that the rivalry has been renewed, who will win? Tongie or Basehor?
I am not making a ton of friends in Basehor right now. Tongie got the win last year and return a lot more than Basehor so I will have to go with Tongie.
Who are the best coaches to deal with in the KVL and KCAL?
There are a few that I talk to more than others but that doesn't mean I don't get a good response from all. All coaches I have reached out to in the KVL and KCAL have been responsive and supportive. There are some we still need to get engaged fully. I have great conversations with Wallace (Piper), Gonzales (Harmon), Parra (Sumner), Brindle (Piper) who are all good to talk to. Leslie, Wesley. I could name them all really. Majority are good.
Top 5 KVL football games to watch this year?
This is hard to answer because I don't know how it will all play out. Not everyone plays each other. Piper vs Bonner Springs, Bonner Springs vs Basehor, Turner vs Tonganoxie (if that happens), Piper vs Tonganoxie, I think we won't see Turner vs Piper which would be a great game so will go with Piper vs Mill Valley.
Will you be shocked if Wyandotte doesn't win the league this year?

How do you see Turner doing this year?
I am mildly concerned about Turner. Sam Worthy and Jarek Smalley were very strong up front. Paul is an incredible talent but even the best need blocking. A receiver will need to step as well. Well coached team so we will have to see who sticks out at practice.
You as well as the rest of the KVL really underestimate Basehor. They will surprise.
I can't say everyone is going to win. Basehor has a very good coach that respect. Replacing two d1 players is tough.
What are your thoughts on Bonner's defense in 2013? And who fo you think will stand out?
Their stregnth will be up front. Aslin does a good job coaching the defense. Corners were young and small but we will see. I have not seen anything yet but will be talking to the coaches.
Why are you also so focused on Bonner, Basehor, and Piper?
Because fans and players from the other schools are not asking questions.

I heard rumors of a talented PG in Olathe, age 38 but undiscovered by scouts to this point. He likes to keep a low profile but is a local legend in his hometown. Can you confirm or deny this?
I have heard these rumors and have met and played with the player. I can confirm that the rumor is exponentially exaggerated.
Who will be the top players in the kvl next year
Paul Berry in football. I don't know yet in basketball. Joe Schneider or Chase Younger.

Kyle dumler is awful size isn't everything. Everyone said Tyler howl was good but he did nothing
Tyler ended last season showing some flashes at DE. His type of size is everything. Give some credit to what coach Steve Cline is doing there at Bonner. Size, strength and coaching can be a dangerous combination. He has an offer from Emporia State and getting legit D1 attention. First thank you for your support. Dimonic McKinzy is committed to Minnesota, Kyle Dumler at Bonner will be intriguing, Paul Berry is exciting, Antonio Moore is a do everything player. Intrigued by Derrick Sykes, Cole Holloway at RB for Tonganoxie. A lot of good story lines. I have posted a few articles on QB's, RB's and WR's. I will have more soon.

Yes! I am excited to see what Dorian does with the talent he has available. Real intrigued to see what happens at QB.
