Bonner rebounded better than I expected they would last night being under sized. A positive takeaway from the game.
I agree especially in the first half. I said that a few times on the broadcast that Basehor was one and done when they missed.
Best KVL girls basketball team this season?
Saw Bonner last night. Jackson will be a strong poy candidate. Piper though should be very good.

Funny how people are saying this is the most athletic team Basehor has ever had. Did they forget that the 2012 team had the twins, Ben Johnson, Brad Waterman JP and Chase Younger? The 2012 team would beat this team every time.
Waterman was definitely under rated. This is a different team. 2012 was big. Actually Dale reminds me of Waterman. I struggled with that comment as well. This team is definitely quicker. Younger was a skilled player but not athletic. Downing wasn't athletic rather very intelligent. Ryan Murphy and Ben Johnson were more power while Muldoon is fluid and can jump. I can argue both sides but agree 2012 would over power this squad.
Any thoughts on Wards starting line up? Bryan Barnhart, Anthony Cerda, Noah Alexander, Michael Graham and Pedja Konatar

What is wrong with Bonner administration trying to dictate where fans sit to view the bball game ? They didn't pull out the bleachers behind the bench and sent the Basehor pep section in the upper deck. Makes for a very quiet and non energetic atmosphere. Very disappointed !! Embarrassing
I honestly could not agree more. The top section is not ideal to watch a game especially in the first few rows because of the barrier that sits up there. I didn't like it at all but you know what Kermit says.

Ward people are complete idiots if they think their team will compete in the KVL. They'll be lucky to get a win other than IMac who is 1A!

Of course expectations are high at the beginning of the year. Are they supposed to say they are going to get molly whopped? No I am sure they wanted to show up and do some things. Important thing for Bonner now is to not let 1 loss become 2. Get the offense running crisper and use this game against a good team as a means to get better.

You mad bro? Do you want me to turn cartwheels and say Ward is going to win the KVL based on a win against Imac? I have said nice win and something to build on but I am not going to pencil them into the top of a tough basketball league. Ward is like 9 or 10 in this league.

What is it about Ward that makes them not a legitimate contender for competing with the teams in the KVL, they shoot the 3 ball well, ball handling is good and good size down low? That's a solid team!
To be 100% fair I haven't seen Ward yet. So I am making a few assumptions. Unless this is a group of freshman that are lights out and have hit the ground running one would ask why these players were playing last year. So either there was some earth shattering development, key transfers I don't know about or Ward is rebuilding. Good first win but lets not go from beating IMAC to competing for a league championship. 1 game at a time.
No need for Tonganoxie to put a target on their back. Might want to get a few KVL games under the belt before making such claims...
Its no secret why they will be up for that game. Basehor will get everyones best this year which will prepare them for post season.

Brady plays for Tongie! He's a 2 sport athlete all state baseball player I think.
Fair enough. Can't wait to see him.
Tongie is good this year.... Like one of our best years, the whole floor is athletes, and I think their the most conditioned team in the KVL

Its a win but a team that scores 20 in a full game can't be very good. We will see how Ward does at Paola.

Why does everyone compare them selves to the Murphy twins? Colin was all state in basketball 3 years all state QB sr year, all metro bb as a sr. Ryan 3 time all state bb, 2 time all state WR, won't ever be another set of twins like them unless one of them has a set. They are jrs in college at k-sta
I think you answered your own question. I think it is a sign of respect to how much they accomplished. They are two of my favorites.
