I just wrote a bit about Richard. He was a flat beast tonight and my player of the game no doubt. HUGE GAME. Pahls did well too in the game. The defense was on point.

Hey Mr. Brox, who do you think would be a good coach for Harmon's football if that school decides to go in a different direction than what its going in now?
I have avoided getting into conversations about firing coaches especially at this level. I don't have a complete landscape of the candidates but I will always lean to Austin Bennett as a candidate. It is was I know and I think he has a lot of knowledge especially on offense. With that said I am not calling for Coach Jackson's job. If the job was based on success then I think it is clear from the results that it isn't working right now at Harmon. This is a two way street here that you do have to have talent to win ball games and since Simmons, Ming and Hawkins the football talent well has been pretty dry. The program was near dead at the end of last season numbers wise. you could say that team under achieved. Apathy is setting in there. Tough spot for Harmon.
What do you think of Bennie Smith
He made a very good play against Pleasant Ridge. Outside of that I haven't seen him work out or anything. We will see over the next few weeks if he can get some more catches.

I need to catch a full game to watch him on both sides of the ball for a full game. I will have some opinions on him in the coming weeks leading up to our broadcast of Atchison and Washington.
Thoughts on Sumner's Defense? What do they really need to focus on to improve from last season?
The short and simple is tackling and limiting the running game. You don't give up almost 600 yards in one game on accident. If those 70 and 50 yard runs can just turn into 10 to 15 chunks then they will take a step forward. We will see. I like what I saw from the linebackers and how aggressive they were. #16 was real good.

If they are able to stay healthy it will be a ton better just because there are more options. With Knernshield banged up last year Jackson had to do too much. But if you are able to mix it up and have some deception in getting Jackson the ball with his speed it makes it a lot better. Mason and Knernshield run very hard!! I was real surprised by Mason. I knew Knernshield and Jackson could do what they did. They have to follow it up though. It is just one week.
Thoughts of atchisons defense
We will learn everything we need to know about them this week against Tongie's rushing attack. I think Pleasant Ridge was able to move the ball on a couple of drives against them. This will be the strongest rushing attack they will see this year.

Serious as in competitive I would hope that we get some good players. If you want to play for fun you are welcome to join up and support SHUKC. I will be honest though that I want to see some good players come and compete. The adult league may be the place to come have some fun.

Basehor was just throwing it up for the last second before half deep in the end zone and it was a throw up no talent needed to pick it
Ok that is why I didn't see it. I skipped the half time heaves although I did watch the big hit from Barnhart. All INT's count the same. I just watched the play and the no talent part is just being silly.

Thoughts on the backs in bonner
I was shocked by Trevon Mason. Knernshield was good as well minus the fumbles. All the runners at Bonner need to practice getting the ball in the outside hand when they break away. The blocking is what was even more impressive to me. Finishing runs with authority. I don't think either of them took a shot. They delivered them.

Their guards will be the best in the kcal. They are why I am going to pick them to win the league.
Thoughts on bonners trio? (Travon, Jared and Marcell)
It is a good bit of depth Bonner has at running back. I would anticipate them splitting the carries four ways. Marcell may be waiting for next season unless someone gets hurts.
