People should lighten up on this Ortiz thing. Most of your followers won't understand, but sometimes family issues overshadow sports issues. No recruitment issues, no playing time issues, just PERSONAL issues.

I haven't heard anyone say anything bad about him at all. people care enough to ask and I understand sometimes people move. It sucks to see him leave and I wish him the best.

Did Ortiz transfer or move to Eudora? If he transferred and is still living in Piper he will have to sit out the football season next year correct?

Is there any talent coming from bonner next year? Fb and basketball?

There is a lot of plays available with Dumler Jackson mason and knernshield leaving. there may be talent but a difeeent kind. Bonner will have to be quick team next year.

What do you think of Piper's offense without Ortiz? Who steps up?

I don't know who fills shoes of 6'5" 275 but it has to be the next man up. Pipers line takes a hit on this one.

Thoughts on Darryl Terrell?(Bonner)

Lb for Bonner. he worked out with us a few times. good worker and will have to be big for the defense.

Football workout if I get enough people. $5. skill players. footwork, routes etc.

Jonathon Ortiz transferred to Eudora

I just heard that. extremely unfortunate for Piper and him too I think in his senior year. I wish him the best.

Thoughts on Jonathon Ortiz?

R-Kal Trulock called him the number 1 draft pick. the kid has the frame to do big things. does he have the footwork and stregnth. Discus champ and showed good athletism at the combine. I am high on him this year. colleges need to check him out as well.

Are you having the award thing you had at the legends like the previous 2 years?

I am having trophies and taking pictures but not a ceremony. I had the guys out last week and will be hosting the girls this coming Tuesday. I was intending to have it at kckcc but they needed insurance which would have tripled the cost. so long answer to say no.

What players do you see stepping up for bonner exactly? I haven't followed them much and I'm curious.

In football you will have to have a few. There was a young RB last year. Speed guy who I can't tell you his name. Wondering now that I think about it if he was running last night at Mill Valley. Conner Byers, Josh Adams, Preston Pyles, Jonah Freese, Hayden Hoffine will all have to step up.

Do you trust your government?

I think most people in government care but are so grossly out of touch from reality that they can't possibly make the improvements we need in this country. In short. No.

Lansing Lady Lions are Kaw Valley League champs after a 2-2 overtime draw with Piper! They finished with an 11-4-1 record, with two of those losses being to 6A teams, and two to 5A Power Houses.

Bonner football team is going to be good or bad?

Year of transition. I would be shocked if they are able perform well unless the defense is stellar.

Kvl will be very down next year lost a lot of talent and kids that had played together for a long time. Don't like the transfers that are happening takes away from the chemistry of teams

Some teams will be taking steps back. Basehor and Mill Valley though are looking to he strong. it will be a transition year. but maybe a team like Bonner steps up with all the experience they got last year.

I meant is 2015 guard play better than the last two years?

These conversations are tough. Do I think there will be a better set than Younger, Schneider, Jackson, Long, Brull, McCullough, Barnett, Bennett, Owens, Downing, McNabb. No I don't but there is a solid group of talented guards that could be as good as this group.

How do you cheer up a friend when they're feeling down?

I have learned you don't have to solve everyone's problems rather just be there for them.

I recently heard Marshall had a slight tear in his knee, I believe he's walking without his crutches now though. How do you view his game?

I hadn't hear that. I have to admit his game surprised me. I want to see him on the court so hopefully he is able to get back and ready for the summer. nice floater in the lane.
