Well if the line holds better for ward they can they get the ball to there receiving core, and with Jared P, Cole H, Xavier T, and Noah A is one of the best in the league. Wooten might boost the team to a win, plus they have butner on the line as well!

Bishop Ward will win a game or two. I am saying two now.

Who do you think has the nicest basketball shot in the area?

Hmm. I am partial to Evan Brull's. Schneider is good. This years 3 point contest is a flat coin toss.

Bishop Ward Basketball is Returning 2 varsity starters and 2 guys that played good minutes and they have a 6"6 foreign exchange student coming in can they be contenders in the KVL??

No. Can they compete? Yes. Brull and Henley are good players. Tucker is decent off the bench but Piper and Basehor will be a bit much. They can't play the whole game. If this 6'6 guy is really 6'6 and is good then I reserve the right to change my mind on this one.

Will Ben Miller be an all star?

In baseball. Football we will have to wait and see. In baseball he is a no brainer. I am giving serious thoughts to an all star game at JUCO this year for baseball. We will see.

Thoughts on Sumner's Starting Backcourt , Jaunce Marshall, Jordan Young , Derek Sykes ?

I saw Jordan at the camp held by Showtime. He got some spot minutes last year and will have to take a major step forward for Sumner to be competitive this year. He is going to get the minutes. I don't know Jaunce Marshall off the top of my head. I think Derek Sykes has a world of potential. Not sure he will be in the back court though. If he can play the 3 then that is a bonus for the Sabres as well.

Thoughts on Wyandotte's starting backcourt with Nunnally and Theo Bass?

This is why I am picking Wyandotte to win the KCAL. Best in KCAL and potential to be the best in the city. Will that potential get unlocked is the only question.

Who's the newcomer you think will make some noise this year in the KVL?

Not sure if Muldoon is considered a newcomer but he will be a major factor for Basehor.

Who's the best incoming sophmore this year ?

Derek Sykes. Ben Miller could make some noise. Sumner is rebuilding but they have a weapon in Sykes at receiver.

Who will win basketball 4A state this year?

No clue. Basehor, Piper and Lansing I think all have teams good enough to make a run to state. Wyandotte has an outside chance if they really come together.

who exactly are you looking forward to coming into the studio and talking to?

This is going to be interesting because a lot of the players are very talkative on twitter but we will have to see how they do when the mic is on this fall. I can't wait. Of course I have to speak for myself here. I am making a very silly assumption that you stick a mic in my face and I can do an hour show. I however am very confident that KCAL and KVL will give me plenty to talk about. I heard we don't get exposure but this fall our broadcast and radio show will be the talk of the town and we will be talking about all of you. They will want what KCAL and KVL have. Trust me. Week 1 I expect a flat blow up in chatter in MO and JO about why KCK gets this type of coverage. Parra and Gonzo is going to be a good talk. Brindle. I really want to get Aslin in studio early for a talk.

Please let's get that going!

Very possible. There honestly is a lot I want to do with SHUKC but I have to pace myself a bit. A lot of energy has gone into getting this radio and TV broadcast going. I had some visions when Vernon and I walked into Sumner with a webcam and a computer. Getting on TV was not one of them. I am also having a blast with the workouts we are doing. The players in this area would get a bit more exposure if we traveled and played 7 on 7.

It's not that hard to score 20 points a game like chase younger when he shoots 30 times

I would guess Younger was over 50% from the field last year. He certainly was against Bonner last year. Sorry but scoring 39 points in a game against a good defender in Jordan Jackson is impressive. Stop hating. Kid doesn't shoot 30 times a game.

Schneider has an okay chance to play D1 but Muldoon has no chance. He is a 6'6" post player and won't make Mokans elite team next year.

I think that would be awesome if he did get the chance to play. I am real optimistic we get to see his full potential this year in talking about Schneider. Muldoon I don't know yet. He is an incoming Junior so he has time if he works and figures it out. Playing DII or NAIA basketball has little shame imo.

Mokan is no longer one of the best aau teams in the country if you want a Kansas team that would wipe mokan watch YOBO Clayton Custer from BvNw who is going to Iowa state lead the team this year and honestly YoBo would beat mokan by 30 at the least.

I went to a BVNW game and saw Custer. Didn't see him on his best night against southwest but can tell he is incredibly talented. I wouldn't doubt at all there are some very talented teams that could be put together in this area. I am honestly thinking of trying to do an All Star 7 on 7 team. Austin Bennett and I have talked about this.

The best basketball player in the area is Chase Younger. Not luke, Luke is a good Player just not near as good chaser scoring and all around athleteisim.

Ok. I am not sure I ever said Luke was better than Chase but I wouldn't disagree. Chase is in my top 3. We may never know the full extent of what Luke can do in high school because of what is around him. I am a fan of both of them.

High school basketball is very different from AAU basketball. Do you know much about AAU basketball in this area? Pat Muldoon and Joe Schneider play on one of the best teams in the country. That's where they get their looks from.

I don't follow AAU very closely. I watched my cousin Vernon when he played with MoKan and then another team. AAU is great for the very best to show what they can do but it is also another reason why the basketball nut is harder to crack when it comes to playing for a D1 school. 1. There are limited numbers on a basketball team. 2. The coaches get to see literally 1000's of kids live. So not only are you competing against the very best talent but for limited spots. These guys can definitely play and are incredibly talented. I would guess you have to be in the top 1% of all high school players in the country to play D1.

I heard neither Ballock is playing football this year

I had noticed he seemed more locked in on football. If true that is an unwise decision in my opinion. He had a higher ceiling in football. If true.

What do you know about D'Marcus Richards from Atchison? I heard he gets buckets

I honestly haven't seen him. I see he was on the team last year. 5-15 and 1-9 in league so Atchison will need him to get a lot more buckets this year. I will keep an eye out for him.

Thoughts on Rivers' (Atchison) move to Eudora?

I didn't know that he moved. If true he is going to a pretty good football school. Their RB graduated last year I believe (Cleveland). Andrew Ballock is still there who is a very good athlete for them. Hate to see him go. Was looking forward to covering him.

Is Wooten's transfer to Ward with Dorian which you already know they are very close and have chemistry...is he the missing piece to the puzzle

I really don't think I will say 1 player will be the difference. He will be a major factor on the lines for Ward and I have to admit that my optimism is on the rise for this team overall. Coach Dorian is instilling some confidence in the team. We will learn everything we need to know week one.

Is Atchison long snappe really have more potential than summers long snapper?

I don't know who sumners long snapper is. I am not sure about the potential of that position. I did see a long snapper for Indiana last week.

What colleges do you project the senior receivers to go to? (Bailey, Tucker etc..)

It would be better to assess after the first three games. I am not aware of any conversations they may have had so far.
