There is an endless list because it is so situation dependant. am I leading or behind, can the other team shoot free throws well, does my team shoot them well. The guiding principal is knowing the situation and being mentally aware of what our game plan would be..

I would love to ser that game. I give Lansing the edge athletically but Washington is aggressive and deep enough to make a game of it. We are just now seeing Washington at full strength.

Any thoughts on Ward's football team next year?
I expect them to continue to struggle. until a class shows up with 8-10 athletes expect the same results.
Best football coach in the KVL?
Brindle. I am not sure you will find a more dedicated coach to every layer of the program. down to grade school. piper is incredibly lucky.
State Champion predictions ? 4a-6a ? Should be interesting to see who makes it to State ? Once their I think some local teams might have a shot at the Title. Toughest part is getting there and looking at the substate brackets some of the Best teams in the State won't get to make the trip !
my are will be represented for sure in 4a with possibly a couple of teams. Summer could win their substate and all four schools out of basehor are ours. can't lose there. I am damn curious to see if Eisenhower makes it. another undefeated 5a team. 6a blue valley northwest, Olathe east are very good. I don't follow the west so no idea what is even possible to make other than a homer pick.

Not a Basehor fan but can't believe the comments about McBride I've seen. He does a great job of highlighting his players who are getting looks and building confidence in his team. Those kids ooze confidence when they take the floor and get some good scholarships. Isn't that half the battle?
I think Coach McBride has done a great job at Basehor. I would say last year they under achieved a little bit but the roller coaster ride on that team chemistry was not much to be desired. I don't get a look inside what coaches do on the recruiting front but again I see nothing but positives. There are some good coaches that I cover and he is one of them.

I am rolling with the Cats this week. they are playing pin ball on the score board and king has the team hungry for a second straight league title. an unexpected one as well. balanced scoring will be the key for Washington and finishing at the rim.
