What did you think of pipers student section last Friday?
They were hype. I took notice a few times. Great support on opening night. Piper students are very supportive.
Can you give us a couple possible upset picks this week? And do you think that the KCAL is 4 or 5 team race with Atchison looking good in its opener?
We have our pick segment on the broadcast. Go to www.shukc.com and cut to the 3rd segment if you want. I picked Lansing and Atchison this week in conflict. Not sure they are upset picks though. Some competitive games. There is a gap in the kcal. We will need to see what schlagle is going to do but they and harmon got beat up bad.

They only gave up 8 points so its not like you should be running for the hills. Focus on line play and getting better each week. I havent watched the game yet to have a real opnion on what they should do.

Swarming and aggressive. Surprised by how much man with no help they played.

Banks got rhe first one and i think sweet caught one late. I could be wrong.
Washington will be just fine. Also, Lansing didn't win but they showed Friday against a very good Piper team that their D is much improved and their O can still make plays through the air. I saw 6-7 guys caught passes and if you take away the penalties and drops and they might have pulled it out.

Hard to judge against a defense like Pipers. Playbook looked limited. Big concern would be the middle of the line.

#73 Juwan Peace played well on the DL. #16 Quinton McQuillan played well along with his brother at LB. I though it was 89 but there is not 89 on the program. He played DE and played very well. Lansing was not bad on defense last night. Hung in there well. Not sure what happened with Alex Diaz but he didn't have his name called much after leading the Lions in tackles last year.
