why don't you host a all-star football game

1. I can't use coaches from the schools. I am building a nice set of coaches I work with but they are all at teams. I can't run a practice of a football team with just me. The liability of such a game would worry me to death as well. This is something I will think about. I would almost have to push the game to the summer to make it possible. Right now I am sticking with no but I will give it some thought.

Who are the top 5 DL in the kvl

I won't rank the top 5 DL. I will however provide a list of names to watch that do not attend Bonner. Ryan Smith (Mill Valley), Nick Chaney (Basehor), Alex Rounds (Mill Valley), James Grizzle (Tonganoxie), Shane Levy (Tonganoxie), Marquez Williams (Turner), Khalil Richard (Piper). Levy had a 7 sack season from the DE position in 2012-2013 season.

All I'm saying in bonner having one d1 lineman doesn't make them the best in the KVL.

This may be where we disagree because just 1 D1 lineman make not just his partners on the DL better but makes the linebackers that much better. Why? Because he is going to get doubled every time they snap the ball. If they don't and he dominates 1 on 1 as expected then he makes plays. If he is doubled then that creates one on ones for other lineman as well. If they are just good they will make some plays. Having 1 player up front that commands double teams is going to make everyone else around them better. Joshua Adams is also going to be on the line and he is putting in the time to have a big year.

If you had a fansty football team from last year? Who's your starting line up

No fun because I know the results. Berry, Browning, Potter, Stanfield, Daniels with the Schlagle defense. This would be a fun deal for this season.

Bonner why bonner? They suck all they have is dumler and he is overrated!

I don't make a habit of arguing with college coaches. D1 programs are interested in him and he has an offer from Emporia State. While Emporia State is not D1 they are still a university that requires a specific set of skills to get a scholarship offer. Email and tell me who you think is better and why. Also the name and scholarship offer they have in place because they have to be pretty damn good. Then we can have a conversation.

what would you say if Williams and mckinzey both went to the same school

Williams would be splitting some carries and would get lost in an offense based on speed instead of power.. He is best fit in Washington's system in my opinion.

Is there a specific 1 & 2 punch or Running back duo that you're excited to see in the KCAL?

Curious now that I have seen Housh and Rivers how they will get used. Good size on Rivers and should be able to make some things happen along side Housh. Xavier McKinzy and Antonio Moore will be the lightning and lightning combination to watch as well.

why do you predict Javeon Williams as the number one running back and do you think he can play at the next level

I am taking that based on last years performance. What i haven't heard a single word on and is cause for concern is how much work he is putting in this summer. Coming off what he did in that 5 game stretch spring board him to the top of my list because of his size and power when he runs. If he comes into camp having not worked then I will look pretty silly. So he is top of the list now based on his success last season and the potential to build on it. I really hope he is putting in the work and doesn't make me look bad. If he is putting in the time then yes he has next level potential.

What qb has the skill set to beat mckenzy out for all league in the kck?

Well a QB is not going to beat McKinzy. The defense would have to figure out how to slow down the offense. I want to make it clear that Wyandotte has many weapons. Antonio Moore, Steve Ford and Xavier McKinzy can all hurt you in space so you can't really double anyone. So a QB without weapons is not going to be that good no matter how good he is. I am curious to see the Wyandotte vs Schlagle game. There am meeting more and more seniors on that defense that will look to create the pressure to disrupt the Wyandotte offense.

Do you think atchisons passing or running game will be dominate?

I think they will have a potent run game. they run a lot of bubble screens to Housh and Gassmann which to me is an extention of the running game. Either way they dice it the coaching staff will look to get the ball in the hands of the play makers in space.

Do you beleive with Huntington, Housh and gassmann on the field things will be very interesting?

You can get creative with these 3 without question. Gassmann and Housh have good speed and if Huntington can succesfully distribute the ball they have a lot of reason for optimism. This is the core that beat Wyandotte last year so they are confident in their ability. We will see if they have a receiver step up and provide an outside threat down the field.

What did You think of DeAnte Ambler and what did you think his strength and weaknesses were?

Ambler got my first and to this point only ATH tag. He has a lot of different roles he can play on a team at CB/RB/WR/DB/KR. A lot of good speed as he runs the 100M in track. He is headed to Highland and I hope I see him on the roster this fall.

What are your thoughts on Harmon's upcoming football team this year and how do you think they'll do in basketball this year?

The basketball team lost a lot! Two All SHUKC first team performers is a lot to make up. That was a major part of their problems in 2012-2013 that they couldn't find a legit and consistent 3rd contributor to get them over the hump. There however were some young pieces that came on late in the year. We will have to see how they develop. Football is a complete reboot. Dedric Brandley is set to come back off the injury but Coach Jackson will rely on youth. We had a picture of Harmon having 20 - 25 kids on the team which is crushing for a program. We will see if youth gets them going.

What do you think of Bryce Enzbrenner?

I have only seen him work once but I was intrigued with his frame and work ethic. Good footwork for a freshman on the cones. I can tell that he has worked at his position. He will be a player to watch the next few years. If he keeps working and develops Atchison could have a good receiver to cheer for.

What do you think of Dai Coye Haley

It is rare to see leadership in a player so young but he has those characteristics. He has a good frame and as a freshman most likely will see some growth. Coach Cline said he did a good job picking up some of the basic techniques and I am confident that if he continues to come work with him that his skills will continue to develop. While I love having the varisty players out it is the young players like Haley that will benefit the most from Next Level workouts. If they come out and grind over the course of a few years then the sky is the limit.

How many wins will KU football get this year? What teams do they beat?

I made a promise that I would no longer bad mouth KU football. I am honestly very impressed and happy with the recruiting that is taking place here in the KC Metro. I will be a fan of Ben Johnson's and will look to see if he is able to crack the lineup and get some PT this season. This however will be the extent of my hope for success for KU. Rock Chalk Jayhawk Go Ben Johnson and any other player I cover that earns a scholarship there.

What do you think about Jajuan Taylor from Harmon?

Taylor showed up on my radar when Harmon played in the state tournament a few years back. Excellent defender and a streaky scorer. He is one of the fastest players I have seen. I didn't like comparing him to Benny Parker speed wise because he was a smoother player than Parker. Parker would put his head down and go but Taylor was more under control. Both effective. I wish Taylor the best at Independence. Looking forward to seeing his game translate to the next level.

Who has the biggest shoes to fill in the KVL?

If Koch is going to be the starter for Mill Valley then I would say him. The RB of Schlagle would be a very close second. The next would be who ever takes over at LT for the Stallions as well. Schlagle will get a good idea what it means not to have a monster on the offensive line. I have a lot of respect for what TJ Wallace did. Couple that with who takes over for Sam Worthy. I met Mr Kos this weekend who will look to fill those shoes.

As you have said Phillips mcleaey and Beebe are the best backers you predict, what do you like about these players and what other roles do they play on their teams ?

Phillips played RB and shared some of the load with Potter last year. I would guess we would see more of the same from him. Beebe will drop down on the DL, pancake at FB, truck as a RB and can get out and play TE. Not to mention he is the punter. McCleary I don't know plays a second position. He was listed as a DB so I think he is not just a tackler but can play coverage.

What do you look for in a solid football player?

Before I watch anything at all I like to evaluate their size. Typically the next question I ask is what postion are you playing or want to play. I then marry my thoughts on their frame and whether it makes sense. Coachability and hardwork will equal skills if the player is a good athlete. A player that can think will always be a step ahead of his opponent. Skills are earned through hardwork and you will see who is in the weight room over the summer, showing up for workouts and are listening to get just a little better. J'Veyon Browning, Vernon Vaughn and Steve Williams are my glaring example. Each has god given ability but relentless work ethic to perfect their skills. Effort!

Where does the "O" in "Odogg" come from? Lol

This is an awesome question. The O has little significance. One of my favorite movies as a young adult was Menace to Society. There is very little positive about the movie but there was a character played by Larenz Tate named O-dog. I have always used it as an online anonymous handle. Good movie and great soundtrack.

What do you think about Benny parker

I have a mountain of respect for his hard work and dedication to his game and dreams. I thought he was crazy shutting down his football career but the evolution of his basketball game was tremendous. Direnna award winner and shukc player of the year and multiple state championships. Great family.
