Beemolo putting his son on second team is a complete joke. Bobcatshq put stats out earlier this year and he was averaging 2.5 rebounds and he is supposedly 6'6". Not very good for a big man. He shouldn't even be starting in my opinion
Fliger has been good lately but I was surprised by his rebounding numbers early in the season. Can you really snub your kid??

I think field goal percentage is important, but not the most important. A 50% shooter is only hitting one more shot out of ten than a 40% shooter, so depending on number of shots there might not be much of a difference at all. I think ability to score and how you score are equally as important.
This is a fair statement.
I understand it's an individual honor. My point was more about what each coach has been able to do with the more or less perceived talent.
I think in this specific case that Muldoon has performed at what I will call an elite level. His numbers and efficiency is off the chart. When you have a player that good then the pieces around him don't have to be elite. There are plenty of good players on basehor's team. I won't use this as a means to bad mouth any coach. there are many reasons why a team may win or lose a game. Bonner was very limited down low which allowed for better numbers. Consistency is not something easily tracked as well. There were some players with gross swings in performance. Slow and steady sometimes wins the race. With the number of good players Basehor has it allowed some to not play as well in any particular game and still have success because you have a rock like Muldoon.
So, when one puts 4 players from the 4th place league team and 3 and 2 players from the 1st and 2nd place team respectively, I guess you are saying it's in the coaching? I know that Mr. Fliger has been critical of both coaches, but you can't have it both ways.
Ok i am looking now. I have positively zero problem with McGee being first team. I don't care what place he finished he had a better season than anyone named. By my track he will be considered for All Shukc. Shot 50 percent from the field and 44 percent from 3. Its not close. Lorenzen being first team is a bit off. No disrespect to him but he would be near the bottom shooting percentage wise. This isn't a team award. The prize for the best team is first place and an undefeated season. That doesnt equate to having the best players in the area. Its hard because stats arent available to me yet on some kids.
Any KVL teams beside Basehor have a chance at substate?
Mill Valley maybe. An outside chance Lansing can get past Washington. Basehor will be heavy favorite.
How did Dale, Conklin and Abbot not make Beemolos squad? I would say he's a biased homer but Jack is the second best player on his beloved Bobcat squad and the glue that makes that team excel. He does all the little things that makes Basehor unbeatable, and can light up the scoreboard when needed.
Dale stayed in the back ground a lot. He had a couple of games that he really stepped up but overall his eff. rating on what I am looking at has him down my list as well. Is he doing some of the small things to make the overall team better. YES! I like Dale a lot. If you penalize Dale for the whole season then you would have to do the same to Fliger. I looked at the list for a first time and while he has come on strong I don't know that he would be second team over even Dale. Conklin I don't have a stat sheet on. I just sent out a request from coach. Abbott's only real wart on his stat line is FG shooting. He almost shot as well from the 3 point line than he did from inside the arch which isn't good. He however is among leaders for FT%, Assists, Rebounds as a guard. I also think he is an above average on ball defender.
I don't know BeeMolo but a few of his picks shot pretty horrible. They scored because they shot a ton. If he looked at rebounds, steals, defense, assists and effort rather than box scores, his picks would have been different. Koch is a stud, but are you awarding what he could do or what he did?
I would guess the coaches will possibly do the same thing on Koch. If you played against him while he was good then you can't help but call him one of the best in league. The league teams are weird because there is no set criteria. Is it only league games? The world may never know. It obviously has given everyone something to talk about.

They are extremely good. I think they run the table.
Swedo is one of the top scorers in the league how is he not on the list of beemolo
He shot 39% from the floor and the team didnt win to be honest. I didnt put the list together. I need to look at what was posted.
BeeMolo just picked the top scorers, except one! Bonner was middle of KVL with 4 all KVL? Cerda only 3d team, come on man? No Swedo, who nearly single handedly kept his team in games. No Beebe, who was a mountain in the paint, No Abbott, who probably led KVL in assists? Whatever man.
Its an opinion. Agree on Abbott. Koch is one of the best players but he has been hurt. No disrespect but keeping a team in a game mean nothing at all.
What are your thoughts on Ballock in the future? Big time college player? Is he good enough to get Drafted or even play in the NBA?
He is still just a sophomore but you can easily see the skill set. We will have to see how much explosion he develops before college and defensive ability. Holding point guards is always a good thing. If he becomes and elite defender he will do fine at ku. I have no idea about nba. So much can happen before college let alone pros.

Is Beemolos KVL team BS or the real coaches pics? Why would he call is All KVL and he seems mighty high on Bonner.
They are the views of the site. The coaches will release their own teams for the league. I haven't seen it yet but it again is an opinion from someone that has tracked all the games in league.
what are your thoughts on Brooks?
The tools are there but he does need to be surrounded by some players. Very athletic young man who will need to work on a mid range jump shot and back to the basket game. He should model his game after Pat Muldoon at Basehor.
How do you think tongie will do this year in baseball?

I have to laugh at the Lyons and Wilson comment. They weren't at Piper for 4 years and there is a reason for that. They enforce residency rules.

I have not done that. My POY always covers both KCAL and KVL.
All-Star game representatives from Lansing?
The only certain ones I have named so far would be Kenneth Banks and Kija Cammock. Still thinking on a couple of others. Abbott, Young for Boys and Babcock for the girls.

There are some first round games which are pointless but should we have a field of 32 instead of 64. Ask all he 2 and 3 seed teams is the games are pointless.
