Props to coach for what he is doing with the schedule. The program is strong and will return Jegen and Koch. Hoping to see a good number of Mill Valley players at the combine along with Christian Jegen. May 3rd at Piper.

Why would you have tryouts for the 3 point shooting contest? Should have just went off top three season % much harder to make them in a game situation than how you picked, really takes away from the contest when some of the best shooters aren't even participating.
It is a test of shooting skill point to point not in a game. all were welcome and those that made the shots are in. Do you know who Craig Hodges is? He won it year after year and you never saw him playing much but he was a gifted shooter. Your opinion is noted. I just chose to do it this way. If shooting threes in a game is so much harder then it should be easy to advance but it isn't that easy.
Do you think most of the teams in the KCAL would get dominated in the KVL in baseball?
Crushed. Atchison is one of the better teams in the league and they got smashed by Piper who has won 2 games. Against Atchison. The KCAL is young though and maybe a new crop will change things but in the city you just don't see a complete group you would need. Sumner has done a decent job and they have a good young core.
Is it true that Atchison's freshman Adam Smith is leading 4a in runs?
I have no clue on how you would be able to say that definitively because not all 4A schools are tracking stats in the same place. Maxpreps doesn't have everyone.
What do you think about tonganoxie baseball for this year so far?
I was just looking at their team and they have a lot of consistency in the line up. Nobody really knocking the cover off the ball but they are again consistent with a good number hitting over 300. The story appears to be Travis Wood who is sporting a 2.xx era. Got roughed up a bit against Jeff West but has a no hitter on his resume. We will see how they do against Mill Valley May 8th.
What do you think of bishop ward baseball this year?
5-4 so far on the season. I need to get my guy Evan Brull in the weight room. Hitting .652 but only slugging .667. No body really showing a ton of power.
Who is byron gardner and what do you think of him ?
Bryon Gardner is a hurdler/sprinter at Schlagle high school. He is SHUKC's leader in the 300M hurdles. 3rd in the 110M hurdles and 3rd in the 200M. I spoke to coach Wesley about him and said where is he at on the football field???
Bonnel even pitched a no hitter
Impressive. POY candidate in KCAL with the work he is doing at the plate. No hitter ok but he pitched 5 and Harmon appears to be awful. None the less he has a good season going. Atchison 6-3 and 4-0 in league. 3 complete games for Bonnel. Hitting .370, 6 stolen bases. Kid is having a good season no doubt.
