What did you think of Logan Koch in high school?
Thought very highly of him. Video game numbers his sophomore year. Very skilled basketball player. Injury slowed him a bit but won state title in football and basketball. One of the SHUKC greats.

Mill Valley has had several players go D1 in the past couple of years. Are there any D1 caliber players currently on their roster?
Cole Morris Jegen Hecht Applegate All were studs for sure. Koch plays d1 basketball. There are college players on the roster for sure but I haven’t heard of any d1 pub this year. Hit me up if you heard different.

Prediction for Mill Valley vs. Aquinas game on Friday?
I did not see the first game but understand Aquinas to be incredibly good. I won't bet against Mill Valley though. Cameron Young is coming on and Brody Flaming has caught fire like last year. Hopefully a good competitive game. I am cheering for Mill Valley!

Who do you think will win Player of the year in both the KCAL and KVAL?
I don't believe KVL does a player of the year. Someone will have to rip it out of Demarco Smiths hands at Washington. If you want a sleeper think about BJ Heard at Harmon. Jalen Taylor, Jamison Jackson would be my top 2.

I think Washington and Schlagle could take steps forward next year. Atchison is going to take a major step back. They had a special group the last few years but with Gill gone this year and players like Enzbrenner, Smith, LeBlue, Haley all graduating there is going to be some growing pains.

I don't disagree that there are a lot of good athletes out there. I do encourage student writers for SHUKC. All posts about athletes at my school are welcome.
I dont know if you've heard of Foster Hoch, especially since your last anwser indicated you don't cover lots of soccer but the kid is a stud. He's not only an easy candidate for 1st team KVL this year in soccer, but he's also a state qualifier for tennis and an easy D3 or D2 prospect for both sports
No I haven't had the pleasure of meeting him. I am gaining a bit of interest in soccer with my daughter playing. It takes a lot of skill. I respect the game just don't know a hell of a lot about it.
Not an attack on you, just wondering, How come you're so football oriented? Not seeing much soccer on your page...Soccer Teams put in as much work and effort as football, and deserve some respect and some love on the time line.
That is a fair question and I am always very open in my answers. I am honestly not huge into soccer outside of watching my daughter. I have an appreciation for the skill associated with the game but I can't speak intelligently on what I am watching. All contributions on reports of scores and articles are welcome. So if someone is tracking the soccer scores feel free to email them to me. The other aspect this year especially is time. I have a hell of a lot less of it now that my kids are participating in sports.

We should be asking who wants to win the KCAL. Harmon controls their own destiny but will have to do work on the road. sumners loss last night makes anything possible.

That was a topic last night. until substate they have Bonner on the road and home to Mill Valley. We will have to see how they react. They wont face many teams like Blue Valley again. I havent seen Miege to know what they look like.

I don't typically schedule anything out. I will be at Mill Valley on the 5th. havent looked past that.
What are your thoughts on Lansing basketball this year?
I haven't seen them live yet. some players will have to step up to get people out of rhe face of Lorenzen. Mcquillan will have to be big.
