what song are you currently rocking which is also mainstream/trending?
I don't know what's mainstream, let alone care, but here's some Jeff :)

People you may like
how are you doing today?
I'm a bit tired from walking from Oswestry to Chirk yesterday and feeling tired as I've been doing background research for posting about it on my website
http://dry-valleys.tumblr.com/tagged/photos
But it's taken so long I've not actually done the new posts yet.
I hope though that this is only a passing problem as I'll be able to get the posts done tomorrow and, as usual, that will give me a perspective and make me reflect that it was a successful trip.
Also tomorrow I'll take my granddad on this trip.

So hopefully some big posts are afoot if you look back this time tomorrow!

So you let dogs lick your face or do you think it's gross?
I've never allowed a dog to lick my face!?
I like dogs but I wouldn't feed them human food, let them sleep in a person's bed, or lick my face.

I took a picture of some Mexican Bandits on the M2 motorway
Would you like to fly into space?
What’s the best thing that happened to you last week? Was it unusually good, or just the best of a bad bunch?
I watched that a star is born film and it was terrific :)

What was your first paid job?
Working in a warehouse to fund my first year of university. I would load CDs and DVDs into boxes and send them off to record shops etc.
I know this dates me, but the first thing I did for money was to put 80 singles of I Believe in a Thing Called Love by The Darkness (I hate that band and their song) into a box and send it off. To the tune of a load of absolute tat that they insisted on playing on the radio.
I worked there for 8 months and then, because I needed to earn more in the summer, went to work in a factory making partitions (which are the dividing walls in cubicles etc). That was a bloody awful job as well, and I've also been out of work, so I complain rather less about my current job than I might have done!

How good are you at saying “no”?
What was the thing that annoyed you?
Some fucker from a company we do business with rang me up 20 minutes before I clocked off and gave me a load of shit, when my manager was out, so now I'm drinking brewdog punk ipa and amaretto.

To further my answer to @CactusDoug this is me in Lud's Church

And is a good encapsulation of who I am and what the place is, albeit I'm 3 years older now.

What’s a favourite folk tale of yours from your country, region, or city?
Recently I've been following the trails mapped out by the author Byron Machin who has written extensively about Staffordshire and nearby places.

My favourite is the myth and magic surrounding Lud's Church, a mysterious chasm which I enjoy walking through on my trips to the Roaches, itself shrouded in mystery.

What’s the most epic way you’ve seen someone quit or be fired?
When I worked in a factory.
The factory was busiest in the summer as they made partitions for the walls of buildings and schools, universities etc did most such work in the summer, so a group of us students worked there in our university holidays.
(No lounging round festivals for us!)
One of the permanent staff was a bit too critical and would say forfucksake endlessly and criticise the work we did. I just let it pass me by but one lad got angry, stopped work, threw the partitions on the floor and jumped up and down on them.
"Fuck you" he shouted, "and fuck your mum". Then stormed out.
We were doing a night shift and this took place in the early hours of the morning and I was too exhausted to really register it but we had a good laugh about it once we'd got a replacement for him.

What movie can you watch over and over without ever getting tired of?
Taxi Driver, on the strength of it I've watched several other Marty Scorsese films, all of which are excellent.
Marty is one of the finest directors working today because his deep understanding of life is matched by his artistic skill, and his latest, Silence, is excellent, but Taxi Driver is the one I'd go back to again and again.

What weird food combinations do you really enjoy?
Mint sauce with most savoury foods (especially good on toast or with chicken)
Peanut butter with most other savoury foods (pasta, for instance).
But I have never combined mint sauce with peanut butter!

So, any new life activities?
Not yet, but I'm looking forward to my Poland visit at Easter!
I'm going to Torun, where my granddad came from (he ended up in Britain via the RAF and Stalin) and it will be a bit of a homecoming, though I never met my granddad as he died before I was born and I have no idea who I'm related to, though I probably have some distant cousins wandering round the city.
I have just read this book which I recommend to anyone interested in Poland, Britain, or generally wanting to know how much the Poles have contributed to the world, which they also did in bringing down communism.

I don't like the government in Warsaw now but I do believe Poland can withstand them and will be rid of them soon, so I look forward to the next chapter in Poland and to my visit.

What was cool when you were a child but isn’t cool now?
In the late 90s there was a short-lived vogue for something called poppers, which was trousers with buttons that could if one wished by unbuttoned. I have no idea why someone thought starting and carrying on this trend was a good idea, but even as a teenager I knew it was all a load of bollocks.
The cool kids laughed at me for not wearing poppers, but they then binned them after about 6 months, so I didn't miss out on much.

Apparently though they have made a comeback, which (like getting your kids' names tattooed on your neck) is an excellent way of publicly advertising yourself as a Brexit-loving fuckwit.

What was the last item of clothing you purchased and what about it made you purchase it?
A t shirt with oh hi mark written on it

Hopefully people will get the reference when they see it.
I have a colleague called Mark who works at another branch of the company and I always think this when I ring him about worky stuff, which is most weeks, though I've never actually greeted him like this.

What's your favourite comfort outfit?
Jogging bottoms & t shirt & a (blue) slanket, not only is it physically comfortable but since it's as unlike my work, going out & walking clothes as possible, my mind associates it with relaxing.
What is the best way to tell someone that you love them ??
What is your favorite place to eat?
At home!
If you mean restaurants, cafes, takeaways etc, I prefer the pasty shop at Edinburgh Waverley, as it's always the place where I eat my first meal after my week in the Highlands each year :)
https://treesforlife.org.uk/volunteer/conservation-weeks/accommodation/athnamulloch-cottage/
As you can inagine I build up sone appetite, so those pasties are a symbolic meal to mark the fact that I'll soon (well maybe soon is an exaggeration, but later that day) be home.

Controversial relationship topics: Can two dominant personalities coexist healthily in a relationship?
I don't think so as each would be trying to manuipulate & rule the other. I also don't think a dominant and a submissive person would make a good match.
Of course some people have more leadership qualities than others, but I don't think anyone should be a dominant or a submissive in a warped sense.
I can say that two private people can get on perfectly well, my girlfriend is slightly more private & introverted than me but we are basically similar so that works because our tendencies aren't in conflict; if I were one of those annoyingly outgoing people and tried to drag her to wild parties, it wouldn't work.
Likewise, if two people are the same but will collide with each other, I don't think that works either? The only example I can think of opposites attracting would be an intellectual and a philistine who share a romantic bond and enjoy time when the intellectual switches off to relax, or when the philistine wants to expand their horizons every now and then, as each appeals to a dormant side in the other and when they contradict one can do their thing without needing to involve the other.
