I’m a bachelor but I have a girlfriend but she lives in Rugeley with her parents and doesn’t want to live with me (she doesn’t have a job so we couldn’t afford to live together anyway).

I’m an introvert (INTJ) and I like socialising but feel the need for me time.
Sorry to be heavy but I was at my friend’s funeral and came home to drink beer, whereas my other friends are still at the wake.
I do accept that it takes all sorts to make a world , so I’m glad some people are extroverts as long as they understand that my party has to stop before theirs!

Do you prefer physical books, e-books, or audiobooks?

I don’t like ebooks as I try to minimise my online time and isn’t what I want from reading a book.
I prefer to sit down and read paper books at my leisure as audiobooks are too slow. But I do like a good audiobook when I’m out and about. A good reciter can take the book to new levels, such as James Macpherson who reads Ian Rankin audiobooks and sounds like he’s on the run himself!

How often do you read?

As often as I can!
I am reading Roxana by Daniel Defoe; I got into him through his Tour of Britain when I was walking through the Derwent Valley in Derbyshire as I was fascinated to see all the industrial sites and read what happened in the days of Arkwright and Strutt, and before their time (Defoe wrote before the massive changes that happened there).
This book is really intense, I’m glad Roxana wasn’t a real person as she’s a bit full-on for me.

You’ve been given a sufficient budget to host (or outsource) a weekend festival of your design. What type of festival would it be? What would happen there? Would it be free or charged? What are examples of things festivalgoers could expect to see/do?
