Which kind of natural disaster scares you the most?

TheBeesKneesGirl’s Profile PhotoEffy
Strictly speaking they aren't natura as they are exacerbated by human action but the recent droughts and floods are, I fear, a harbinger of the future.
The heatwave last year, the Beast from the East in the same year, the floods that would once have been remarkable but now happen most years, that is what I dread most of all.

What is the most awkward thing you've said to someone special?

TheBeesKneesGirl’s Profile PhotoEffy
Not proud of this but I think I should admit it, I once told my girlfriend I was thinking about Nadine Coyle during sex.
By some miracle I'm still allowed to see her but I will never be so thoughtless again and I've definitely learnt a lesson as I catually didn't know how badly I was behaving before she told me. So I've hopefully overcome that even though I am now ashamed of what I now know to have been a terrible thing to have done.

Are you a vegan, a vegetarian or a meat-eater?

TheBeesKneesGirl’s Profile PhotoEffy
I'm a meat eater but I'd call myself an omnivore as I like vegetarian food (my uncle has been vegetarian since 1977 and is a great cook) and certainly can eat a meatless meal if I went to a vegetarian restaurant or something, but Iike to keep my options open, so I'm omnivore.

How are you feeling right now?

TheBeesKneesGirl’s Profile PhotoEffy
Nice and relaxed as I had a trip to the museum with friends then watched the Tour de France, which didn't go the way I wanted it to as I support Geraint Thomas, but was still good viewing.
Now I'm on my photography website
htp://dry-valleys.tumblr.com/tagged/photos
And about to post up my account of my trip here.

Which is set to b a good photoshoot, so feeling chilled but ready to do some work.

Last person’s house you were in?

TheBeesKneesGirl’s Profile PhotoEffy
Apart from my own, two friends who just moved in to their new home and are getting married in September.
I called in briefly to their house before we all went to the city and to the museum and generally hung round.

When was the last time you listened to the radio !!

Yesterday I listened to the WATO, a programme called Tales from the Lobby by Michael Crick that I've been following, and the archers.
I'm a Radio 4 lover and I listen to the WATO/world this weekend, Week in Westminster, From Our Own Correspondent, Food Programme and Archers unfailingly, and sometimes Today or PM or a one-off programme.
I don't listen to other stations much but I do like Johnny Walker's Sounds of the 70s occasionally.
As you can see I'm massively into the radio and I would defend the BBC model to the death though it's never safe in the hands of right-wingers who would prefer a dumbed down British Fox "News" to a real broadcaster.
I also don't want a biased left-wing station full of advertising, like MSNBC or CNN, any more than I want a biased right-wing station full of advertising. I want informative, intersting shows that will explain world events and thankfully I have it... For now.

What would you bring to a picnic?

TheBeesKneesGirl’s Profile PhotoEffy
A big old jar of herbal tablets, as very few people outside the English Midlands have heard of them (for some reason they aren't widely eaten, despite being the greatest sweets of all time) but almost everyone likes them when they try. So after eating & drinking we will conclude the picnic with our herbals.

What would you bring to a picnic

how was your morning?

It was as good as can be given that I was at work, I had a 3-mile walk while listening to the audiobook of Robinson Crusoe, along the canal to a bus stop.
Then I was a bit nervous about work as I had to run a series of reports which I'd previously helped my manager do, but he was on holiday so it all fell on me, and I succeeded in this :)
So I was buzzed and the afternoon I got a bit tired from exerting myself, but still better than most days.

Are you usually late, early or right on time?

Either on time or slightly early as I do believe punctuality is the politeness of princes and I know unpunctual people think of themselves as more interesting and creative, but almost none of them actually are.

What's on your summer reading list?

TheBeesKneesGirl’s Profile PhotoEffy
During my walking trip of Industrial Revolution sites in Derbyshire at Bank Holiday, I will read Daniel Defoe's account of his travels around Britain in 1724-6 as he is a fascinating author who had a fascinating life, and it will be so interesting to see what the places I go to were like before the transformations, the legacy of which I'm going to see.
And I'm also going to read this, by an author who is sometimes maddening but always interesting & challenging.
http://paulkingsnorth.net/books/s-gods/
And the second volume of Graham Greene's autobiography as I read the first in May and his storytelling is unsurpassed.
Might I ask whether you'll be going on any literary journeys this summer as I'd be interested to know!

What makes you angry?

TheBeesKneesGirl’s Profile PhotoEffy
I know I go on about it but the likes of Boris Johnson, Nigel Farrago & Jake Rees-Bogg thinking my future is a bargaining chip or a price worth paying for their utopia.

No it isn't dickhead

Legally, chicken's eggs can't be referred to as "healthy" for humans yet many think they are. What's something that people think is healthy but really isn't? (It can be food, behaviour, etc.)

urlsareshittbh’s Profile Photourlsareshittbh
Artificial sweeteners!
It really winds me up when people at work have them as they can't do without the sweetness, and somehow have the idea that garbage is healthier than sugar, so they put up with a worse taste for no good reason at all.
If I didn't know which people take artificial sweeteners I really would be able to guess based on their personality as it's the sort of grim person who is always counting calories and never enjoys anything, but instead talks bollocks all day.

What song is currently your favorite?

TheBeesKneesGirl’s Profile PhotoEffy
Which of your children do you most love? ;)
Lately I've been listening to his band called Spiritual Beggars, a side project of Michael Amott out of Carcass (who I don't like), but a complete turn away from that and into a fusion of metal and neo-psychedelica with an expert sense of melody.
Good that music of this kind is still being made and can be heard live.
