Use correct grammar and stop randomly inserting ‘like’ as a filler word and you might feel better.

If you had to give someone lessons, what skill would you teach?

The advice an old woman gave to Arthur Dent.
It's the story of my life. You see, the quality of any advice anybody has to offer has to be judged against the quality of life they actually lead. Now, as you look through this document you'll see that I've underlined all the major decisions I ever made to make the stand out. They're all indexed and cross-referenced. See? All I can suggest is that if you take decisions that are exactly opposite to the sort of decisions that I've taken, then maybe you won't finish up at the end of your life" --she paused, and filled her lungs for a good shout--"in a smelly old cave like this!

Is there something you need a break from?

Being online :(
I mainly spend my waking hours working, so if I didn’t do that i could cut my screen time to less than half what it is and still have good discussions like on ask. But my eyes are getting sore from sending hundreds of work emails a week!

It's officially the weekend! Why not share some awesomeness? Tell us about one of your favourite things like a song, hobby or food.

Cycling is a thing I’ve always done to some extent, but took up bigly at the beginning of lockdown.
My bike was broken for 2months but I got it fixed
(Spent £45 on repairs and Two days later there was announced a government grant of £50 was announced for repairs, to encourage cycling! Just my luck that I missed it!)
And now there’s no stopping my rides, & the pictures I take.

If you could only eat one thing for the rest of you life what would it be? PAP!

If I were to be sensible, I’d say peanut butter on lithuanian bread. That is the best overall food to eat and is the main component of the food bag I’m taking on holiday to avoid buying meals out for two days.
But I enclose a picture of a sticky toffee pudding because it’s more fun ;)

According to you: What’s the difference between being conceited and being confident/self-aware?

zy_cv’s Profile PhotoManu
Isn’t it that confident people know their strengths but also their weaknesses, and that they need to work with people who can help them with that.
Conceited people believe in abilities they don’t have and when they are good at something, they weaken themselves by thinking they are better than they are.
People who are good and confident will do the best work. People who are good but not confident need to be encouraged or they may not fulfil their promise. Sebastian is a good example of someone who is the worst of all.

Have you ever had to explain food from your country/culture to an outsider? I seem to do this on a regular basis for all things Scottish :/

RidgeBackRogue’s Profile PhotoRidgeBack Rogue
Yes, my country is the English Midlands (Mercia) and many a time I've introduced people to the joys of herbal tablets, which for some reason haven't become popular outside the area!
http://teddygrays.co.uk/
Not to be confused with dodgy homeopathic 'remedies' which are tablets and herbal, but are not true herbal tablets.
I've only met one person who didn't enjoy these beauties, and even then it wasn't because of the taste. It was because his father would buy mint creams when the family were doing well, and herbal tablets (which are cheap) when they were doing badly. So it was seen by this person as a poverty food. But is in fact a treat!

Do you ever use third party delivery services (DoorDash, Postmates, UberEats, etc)? Have you ever had any particularly good or bad experiences with them? Have you ever worked for any? If so, what was that like for you?

AmericanLass’s Profile PhotoC.
No, I’m not into them! I do order food from the takeaway online, then go there & buy it, but that’s as far as I’ve got into the 21st century.
Will have a lamb biryani or a veg biryani depending on the mood i’m in.
Don’t want to pay a delivery charge either.

Would you be annoyed if you were watching a show with someone and they skipped ahead without you?

zy_cv’s Profile PhotoManu
Yes, it’s disrespectful and i would never do that for anyone else.
As if to say their ‘convenience’ is more important than my understanding the show. I would have more respect than that.

I have a friend who says herd immunity (purposeful exposure to the virus) is the key to Covid control. This once was a popular practice-- a kid gets a childhood illness and all the neighborhood were sent over to catch it. Were you ever intentionally exposed to an illness like this?

No! Thankfully i’ve always been vaccinated.
Think the herd immunity idea has now been discredited and should not be followed, by states or individuals.
