Which did you find scarier as a child, graveyards or the dark?

urlsareshittbh’s Profile Photourlsareshittbh
I don't know what I thought as a child but Greyfriars kirkyard in Edinburgh (both alone at 5am and on the city of the dead tour) was one of the scariest and most intense places I've seen, certainly far worse than mere darkness, which can be beautiful.

The dark photos didn't come out well enough to be used but I asssure you, it's intense.

At one point in time kissing was considered extremely strange and unusual, what's something you think is considered strange and unusual now but may be considered as the norm in the future?

urlsareshittbh’s Profile Photourlsareshittbh
Being a vegan, perhaps?
Though I am unsure about this as eating meat is becoming more common, not less, in most countries outside the west.

Many people say that they fear the dark, bit all of a sudden aren't afraid when they're given night vision eyewear although they're still in the dark so with that in mind what do you think people are more afraid of.... The dark or the inability to see what surrounds them or something else?

urlsareshittbh’s Profile Photourlsareshittbh
Yes, it's the inability to see and the loss of control that is the problem rather than any problem with the dark as such.
I like the dark if I'm looking at it, for instance, from outside where I stay at Athnamulloch
https://treesforlife.org.uk/volunteer/conservation-weeks/accommodation/athnamulloch-cottage/
Because I know where I am and can marvel at the wonders of nature, but go back inside. If I were just a mile away from there I'd be terrified and hate it, unable to enjoy the same sky.
The night vision goggles sound interesting, I shall have to look out for them!

Are you one to bottle up your feelings or to express them openly? Give an example of when you think it's okay to do the opposite.

urlsareshittbh’s Profile Photourlsareshittbh
I'm naturally inclined to suppress my feelings and, overlying that, most of the time I have to; I'm far too low on the food chain at work to say what I think about my colleagues & managers!
I know this is unhealthy but it's what millions do.

Follow up on the last question. Justin's famous wife was in on the prank/joke and posed for photos to appear as if she was in hospital with doctors. Why do you think she wasn't called out on behalf of it all? Do you think this is different to when someone fools their partner with a fake pregnancy?

urlsareshittbh’s Profile Photourlsareshittbh
I think she is as culpable of him and should have been called out. I equally hope she has herself learned a lesson and will be more thoughtful in future.

Future goals ?

The group https://treesforlife.org.uk of which I'm a proud member, first came to the place where we plant trees in 1991. We need to fence them off to stop deer eating the young trees. Now if you look at those trees, one side of the fence has been grazed to death like most of the Scottish Highlands.
But the trees are rising up magnificently on the other side, and my ambition is that my trees will be so strong and live on after I'm dead.

On April Fool's Justin Bieber posted pics of an ultrasound pretending his wife was pregnant. He apologised after & said it was just a joke, due to the backlash from people saying it wasn't something to joke about due to miscarriage stats. What's your opinion on this? Did he need to apologise or not?

urlsareshittbh’s Profile Photourlsareshittbh
Yes, he should apologise. My sister in law has had 2 miscarriages and anyone who thinks such supposed jokes are funny isn't doing very well as a human.
Bieber doesn't strike me as the cleverest or most aware person on earth, so hopefully he's genuinely changed his attitude. If so, though I dislike his music, I would forgive him.

The following are going to be removed from existence, please choose which 4 you want to save.... Chocolate, popcorn, ice-cream, pron, canines, felines, rodents, movies, tv shows, videogames, books, internet.

Canines, felines, rodents & books.
I don't like rodents as such but they are part of the ecosystem and without human encouragement there wouldn't be too many.

What do you think is right: lying or telling truth for the benefit of close people?

Very slowly I've learnt that Graham Greene was right.
“The truth, he thought, has never been of any real value to any human being - it is a symbol for mathematicians and philosophers to pursue. In human relations kindness and lies are worth a thousand truths.”

Which do you think would be most aggravating and why- a broken foot or a broken arm?

shehitsback’s Profile PhotoAllison
Probably a broken arm, as I then couldn't work?
I haven't spent much time considering which body parts are best and worst to be broken though!

?‍♀️ What TV/Netflix/etc shows are you currently watching, if any? I’ve just finished S2 of Santa Clarita Diet (zombie comedy) and have started S4 of Z-Nation (more zombies). ?‍♂️

Is it possible to fall in love with someone you just met online?

Yes, that's how I met my wife*, Nadine Coyle, as she was so impressed with my unmissable ask.fm page that she fell in love with me* on the spot.
