No, and I probably won’t have any fun in the homes of boring pedants who do. My guests are welcome, that’s why they’re in my home, and they will be made welcome.
What do you think about death of the queen. I'm not british that's why i want to know abit about it. Does all people get sad and some days will be closed ?
I think it’s a great loss and she will be mourned especially here, but throughout the world.I hope Charles will be a good king and he has done good work that a lot of people don’t know about, such as at Middleport Pottery, that give me hope for him.Yes, almost all shops and workplaces will be shut on Monday. I am off work and would not go to a shop even if it were open, I’ve just this morning bought food for three days.
Yes, thank you, I am well. The main thing I have done lately is to publish a photobook of my niece, who is 2. Due to cost I’ve only made two copies but they are good.
Yes, I was unemployed for two years in total, on and off between 2010 and 2015. It was the most wretched time of my life, apart from the poverty, the sense of hopelessness and the being mocked on TV by David Cameron (who is now disgraced for his part in two banking scandals, obvs).I would not wish that on my worst enemy which is why I supported the furlough scheme, though thankfully didn’t need it, and think anything should be done so that mass unemployment never rears its ugly head again.Sadly, I can’t offer any advice on job search; I later got into the company I work for because I was the only applicant! They were unsure about taking me on but didn’t want the whole recruitment drive again, so I stayed and am still at the same company, promoted twice. So it can happen but I must say, there’s no guarantee it will.
Yes, I think it’s a great loss for our country and the world. I do think Charles will be a good king (much of the good work he does is little known about it, but in our city we know what he’s done for us) but still, big shoes to fill. And this is, apart from online idiots, a view shared across the world, such as from our friends and neighbours in France.
With the Queen passing it has honestly got me thinking….my grandfather lived to 101 and received a letter from the Queen when he turned 100, however he ain’t the only one to have had contact with the royals. I, myself received a text message off Prince Andrew when I turned 12.
Yes, if you understand what ‘immigrants’ say to you it’s rude not to speak to someone in a language you both understand.I somehow doubt you’ve done anything to advance the Welsh language or contribute to Wales, or any part of this earth that you’re a skidmark on. If you were offering to teach ‘immigrants’ that would be good, but you’re not doing anything of the kind.
I’m stoked for Frozen Planet II next week!I love everything Dave Attenborough has done and his latest, The Mating Game, left me wanting more. More is what we’ll get next week!https://www.bbcearth.com/shows/frozen-planet-2
I don’t actually know?I don’t like tv and, while I read books at the weekend and on days off, I’m too tired to read books after a day’s work.I blog to the tune of my music http://dry-valleys.tumblr.com/tagged/musicSo I’d probably keep listening, and read magazines or something. It’s not as though the internet is the only thing that stands in the way of the rock & roll lifestyle I’d otherwise have, as I’m too tired & poor for that anyway!
Nothing much, just posting pictures of my Wales trip in August.http://dry-valleys.tumblr.com/tagged/walesSpeaking of drinking, I’m going to a beer festival with my friends who live in the town where it’s being held. I’m doing that in two weeks and meeting my 2 year old niece next weekend, so I’m glad of tgat.
(Test your mind)😎
There’s a one-story house where everything is yellow. The walls are yellow. The doors are yellow. All the furniture is yellow. The house has yellow beds and yellow couches. What color are the stairs?🤔
I only speak English but if I learned another language it would be Welsh, the language of heaven!I know @origamibirds lives in Wales and I believe she grappled with the language which is hard to learn, but was spoken in Britain for hundreds of years before my forefathers moved here. (Invaded, to be precise).Although I literally don’t understand a word of this, it brings a tear to my eye. I was drunkenly listening to it when in Wales (at Eglwysbach) at the weekend.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jEsIB1K7I94
