What's Your Favorite City (country)???

Singers!
http://dry-valleys.tumblr.com/tagged/singapore
My brother has lived there for 8 years but sadly is now moving away (he doesn't know where yet but he's resigned from his Singapore job and will lose the accomodation when he does that).
Because I had always stayed with him and couldn't afford a hotel, I fear I may never be able to return :(
Here I am in 2010 (I don't actually remember which building I was on top of!) just before a tropical storm.

How important is good hygiene to you? Have you ever had a coworker/classmate/friend who stinks all the time? If so did you tell them

It's very important, short of having a medical problem or being destitute there isn't much excuse for not having a reasonable level of cleanliness.
Maybe I shouldn't but I agree with Orwell here.
"You cannot have an affection for a man whose breath stinks — habitually stinks, I mean. However well you may wish him, however much you may admire his mind and character, if his breath stinks he is horrible and in your heart of hearts you will hate him."

What's your opinion on body positivity? Do you think it's for everyone or just people who are considered conventionally unattractive? Do you strive to be body positive?

It can be taken too far, for instance in celebrating unhealthy lifestyles, but I'm all for people being confident in themselves and not letting themselves be defined by mindless scorners.
Like Nicola Roberts, who though not quite up there with my wife* Nadine Coyle, is a very beautiful lady who in the early years was forced into a style (wearing fake tans and so on) that didn't suit her and has spoken of her unhappiness in those times through being bullied by onanists like Chris Moyles.
But has now become more confident and her inner and outer beauty is well known.

Pap of your favourite sweet food.

Apparantly these bad boys aren't common anywhere outside the English midlands, and even people from other parts of the same country have never heard of them, though they enjoy them when they eat one.
I've only ever met one person who didn't like herbals; his dad would buy mint creams (which are also delicious) when he had more money, and herbals when he had less money. So this person associates the taste of herbal tablets with being poor as a child, and of course that's a psychological thing rather than aversion to the taste, which is undeniably first-class.

Do you prefer sweet or savoury food?

urlsareshittbh’s Profile Photourlsareshittbh
It depends on the situation, normally I prefer savoury food but after eating savoury food I want a dessert as that is the order in which I like to eat meals.

what was or is your most favorite subject in school and why?

Caine187’s Profile PhotoCaine hughes
History was my favourite subject so I studied it at university and it's still one of my main interests, I like going to history events etc, albeit I work too much (not as a historian, but in a boring accounts job) to do it often.

If you got arrested, what do you think the people closest to you would think is the reason for your arrest?

urlsareshittbh’s Profile Photourlsareshittbh
They would probably think it was mistaken identity as I'm fairly obviously not a criminal but I'm renowned for having bad luck, so I'd probably be in the same place as a heinous crime was taking place and get arrested for it.

What's the most beautiful or captivating work of art you've ever seen? Why did you think so? Pap of it if you wish.

urlsareshittbh’s Profile Photourlsareshittbh
I'm far from a connoisseur of art but I love this.

I love the contrast between the lush landscape and the lady in black who is totally unable to enjoy it. I think if this painting had a sound it would be Who Loves The Sun by the Velvet Underground, which has a very similr vibe.
A Christina Rossetti caption adorns it:
Last summer green things were greener,
Brambles fewer, the blue sky bluer.

Are you a person with cold hands and warm heart or person with warm hands and cold heart ? ?

I'm not sure what that proverb means but I interpret it as meaning someone with a staid and gruff exterior can be loving people in fact, and come through to help in a crisis while those who boast of how much they "care" are nowhere to be seen.
I hope that describes me though that's for others to judge?

☀️ ? What’s the worst weather you’ve ever been outside in? ⛈ ?

CactusDoug’s Profile PhotoDoug
Anything when I had hypothyroidism. A day that was cold in a n objective sense half-killed me. I could barely get out of bed the next day. Though this was when I decided to get medical help so maybe if I hadn't crashed that day things would have got steadily worse and the recovery may not have happened.
Some instinct made me take my hands out of the gloves in which they'd been buried and take this picture of a horse, so the photographer in me won out over the sick man and while it was to get even worse than this, it then improved and I'm here to tell the tale.

what upcoming event/occasion are you looking forward to?

Caine187’s Profile PhotoCaine hughes
Booked my tickets to https://festivalinafactory.co.uk/ and I'm excited for such things happening in my city.
http://dry-valleys.tumblr.com/tagged/stoke-on-trent
I thank Tristram Hunt, Emma Bridgewater, Matthew Rice & everyone who works there and all the speakers for giving us such a feast in our city. I've been to each one since it started in 2014 and this one should be a ball!

? If the amount of Ask Coins you currently have were to be converted into your country’s main denomination of currency, what would you be most likely to buy with it?

CactusDoug’s Profile PhotoDoug
I don't know how much they'd be worth but probably a bus ticket as I hate paying for them and it would be a good idea to be rewarded for dispensing my words of wisdom :)

what tv show/series are you really in to at the minute?

Caine187’s Profile PhotoCaine hughes
None atm, the last series I watched was The Last Kingdom Series 3 as Bernard Cornwell is the master storyteller and this was an excellent TV adaptation.
But I've been a bit adrift since that finished!
