When you're watching a TV show or a film series, do you ever get annoyed by the inconsistencies? Like back stories that keep changing or timelines that don't add up.

I do to an extent, for instance in the last kingdom tv series, the Vikings rape & pillage Wales and crush the Welsh, which didn’t happen in history or in the books, it was just made up by the tv scriptwriters (The Vikings also didn’t sack Winchester and defeat Edward the Elder).
Also, in the tv series, Hywel leads the Welsh army (which has, without explanation, fully recovered from what happened to them two series back) at Brunanburh, even though this also didn’t happen, as they didn’t take part on either side.
It’s still absolutely buzzing tho!

Favourite flavour of soup? 🙂

Asparagus at this time of year, parsnip in winter, leek & potato at any time.
I always cook my own as I don’t like the stuff from tins.

Who is fed up with the British weather at the moment if you’re living in the uk?

Jayemdee52980’s Profile PhotoJay Dawes
I am, I find overly hot & dry weather almost as bad as overly cold & wet weather.
Ideally it would be around 15c and rain every night, so that the days would be fresh without me actually getting rained on.
And I accept climate science, so what’s happening now is wrong & unnatural.

What's your plans for today? 😊

Evening grant,
I don’t think I’ve spoken to you before, so welcome to my zone.
Today, I was on a long distance walk http://leadenboot.org.uk/ and I’ve done ten of them but this was one of the toughest as it was so hot, which led to me having a worse than average time.
Despite this, I’m proud of having done it so am now eating peanuts & dranking beer. ;)

Do you think toxic positivity is damaging? Probably hence the word toxic

b4p7kzvgkt’s Profile PhotoLoose_change
Yes, I certainly do.
As Barbara Ehrenreich wrote in her book ‘Smile or Die’, at its worst this cult blames the poor and sick for being poor and sick, and tells everyone that we need to just think differently, not change society.
I take this personally because not only have I been poor (thankfully no longer, but others still suffer as I used to), i also have an illness (under active thyroid) that affected me for years, was misdiagnosed at first, and is now being sorted by the medicines that the ‘positive’, anti-vaxxers, and the likes, don’t want me to have.
Because I was misdiagnosed at first, I know western medicine needs to be made better. But it CAN be made better, whereas woo and bullshit will always be dead ends at best and toxic at worst.

What is your opinion on the shoutouts that you get?

DrAnonStar12376148’s Profile Photo♚ ♔ ӨMZ ♔ ♚
Few of them are of any worth and the askers seem to agree, as almost none of them interact with what I say and most of my answers probs don’t get read.
Which makes me wonder why they’re taking to me in the first place!?

Are you taking part in no mow may? 💞

Shannon678900’s Profile PhotoShannon
I never mow! Admittedly I live in a small terraced house with a very small garden, but I’m secateurs only.
The garden used to be all slate. Then some people who lived here before me took out most of the slate (I dread to imagine how hard they had to work on that and wonder why they bothered!) and put grass in. I don’t want to mow it as it’s fairly bad grass to begin with and needs more encouragement; the roots aren’t strong enough to withstand repeated mows.
When I bought the house, around a fifth of the garden was still slate, but weeds were growing and I didn’t think this small area of slate was doing much, so pulled it out and put flowers, herbs, and butternut squash in.
I do wonder what the all-slate garden would have looked like but the people who used to live here (who didn’t take proper care of the place; I keep finding things they and the halfwit who came after them did wrong) made sure I’ll never know.

Do you work weekends?

Not generally; I worked yesterday, though, and thereby earned a day off in June without taking a holiday.
This suits me, as I have things to do on that day, whereas I wasn’t especially planning to do anything else yesterday.

Have you ever give up alcohol?

Shannon678900’s Profile PhotoShannon
No, I don’t drink too much so I don’t need to be teetotal.
Likewise, I don’t diet because I don’t eat too much, so I don’t need to start eating too little.
