I only reach this state on a Friday and Saturday evening or during holidays (or occasionally Sundays when I manage to switch off thoughts of Monday) as I can only really be content when I'm not working next day!

? In your area what do you call the “game” of knocking on doors/ringing doorbells and running away? Here it’s called “knock off ginger” ?

Not sure if that's a local dialect word or a general word or what, as according to the internet it's sometimes used but rare.

If someone had mentioned knock off ginger when I was a child, ir any time before today, I'd have been baffled!

What's the last example of a targeted ad that you experienced? I mentioned pizza and immediately got a HUMMUS ad- that recommended dipping pizza in hummus

I got an advert for one of those shit dance albums that they play in those clubs I never go to, and it's actually a reverse targeting as I was watching a Grateful Dead video at the time and I'm baffled as to why they expected a deadhead to like that shit.
I also get a load of conservative stuff!? Maybe the right advertise mire than the left, but I'm baffled as to what-given the views I've often expressed-made them think I want their shit.
That said, while I understand why people dislike targeting and find it sinister, I don't mind if it's WELL targeted and openly expressed as such with no deceit. I got into https://www.mountainsonstage.com because they aimed at me on facebook, and they'd done their research well as it's exactly the kind of thing I go for.
So it has its uses, but should be done up front and more intelligently than it is now!

How often do you get bored?

When I'm at work and I've got all my work done but can't browse Wikipedia because managers are looking at me.

I can assure you, pretending to work involves just as much effort as actually working, and is even more boring!

When I was 18 I almost became a salesman for a pyramid scheme but, in a rare flash of sense for those days, turned against it. I don't actually remember what exactly they did but it was a complete scam, and I worked in a warehouse and a factory instead to support my studies. (Though godawful, these were at least real jobs that earned real wages).
Very soon after graduating I was cold-calling to sell a new phone system. Didn't make any sales and got sick of not only that, but clearly bothering & annoying people who are trying to go about their daily business. We would write things like nint & ppd (not interested, put phone down) against name after name, but the list kept coming.
So I quit that after 2 days then, having learnt nothing in particular, applied for a job examining houses for home inspection packs.

Didn't get the job, and anyway the whole thing was abolished two years after I would have started work, so I'd only have been redundant with few transferrable skills.
(Interestingly, my aunt has a successful business doing the energy certificate, which is the only one of those regulations that wasn't done away with, and is generally held to be a useful device. She is semi-retired and makes a good living without burning herself out as she did as a senior manager in corporations).
So despite these close encounters, I avoided the worst!

Map of the world (Which dates from 2013, so I'm pleased to say it still lists Crimea as Ukrainian land, which it rightfully is notwithstanding Kremlin aggression).

Tell me about a cultural misunderstanding you've heard of or witnessed? I know an Irish guy who told an American police officer "we're only having a bit of craic(fun in Irish)" and he got searched. My aunt thought an American woman was complimenting her chest while complimenting her "bangs"(fringe).

And while it's not exactly the same I often cook meals, especially curries & soups, then eat them the next day when all the flavours are infused.

Who is your favourite Disney Princess who's not really a Disney Princess? Mine for example is Sweet Dee from It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia because Disney bought Fox who owned It's Always Sunny and in one episode shes dressed as a Princess. Princess Leia and others also count. Whoever Disney owns
