Tell me about the last time you pulled a prank on someone? What was the prank? What was their reaction? If you can’t remember, just tell me about a prank you find funny in general, or use this as a filler.

I haven't pulled a prank! I'm not imaginative/malicious enough.
When I worked in a factory in the summer when I was a student, I got sent to another section for a long weight!

What's your middle name?

(Talking about my real name) the name I took at confirmation was Thomas, after St. Thomas Aquinas.
Later on I also gave myself the name Chad, after Saint Chad, Bishop of Lichfield. Becoming Bishop of Lichfield in 669, Chad had a major role in converting the folk of Mercia to Christianity.

During my walk at Easter 2016,

I made my way towards Lichfield, where his see was. At this time I decided to adopt the new name so my names are Thomas and Chad in addition to my real first name and my real surname.

Because of the cancellation of all sports events, ESPN will be covering live toilet paper wrestling in the aisles of Walmart’s. Are you tuning in to watch?

introgeeky’s Profile PhotoGeekette
No! In between such walking as I can still do, given that I can't go on the train, I will be watching church.
This is the first Easter since 2015 that I haven't been on a long-distance walk. I would be in church at Clitheroe, Lancashire now. It's a big loss not to be going there.
When walking I will be listening to an audiobook of The Power & the Glory by Graham Greene.
I am not so bored as to watch toilet paper just yet!

When was the last time you did like4like on here and do you still do it nowadays? I'm sure many of us who are on here a decade or so remember doing 5likes for 5likes years ago.?

I haven't ever taken part in popularity contests, mainly because I would lose :)
I should hope my posts were worth reading & liking but that would be on their own merit rather than to boost my ratings.

Good evning

The same to you, anon well-wisher!
I've had a good day working from home and after 2 more will be off for Easter. Not as good as the long-distance walk I had to cancel, but lots of walking, cycling & reading and no work.

What are the 3 pluses of quarantine for you? #StayAtASK

Working from home is the biggest change for me, and I'm deeply thankful for not being unemployed or homeless.
Three gains from wfh:
1. Not having to see managers or colleagues I dislike
2. Being able to listen to the radio at work; I really believe that BBC Radio 4 is a profound gift to us, costs a pittance, and is worth several times what we pay for it. Imagine if Rupert Murdoch had been informing the nation at this time!
3. More music!

How are you?

I am sad at missing my Easter holiday, which would have been in Lancashire, walking between Clitheroe and Lytham. During my Easter walk I would have taken in Stonyhurst College. But that is now cancelled, along with many other events I would have gone to.
I do miss my friends and girlfriend but I prefer working from home as my colleagues get on my nerves if I'm honest, and I now listen to a lot of music at work.
If I were sure this would end (in June or July, perhaps) and my trip to Scotland in September will go ahead, I would be happy now or at least accepting.

Related to my last question: if you feel like it, share one of your favorite dishes/recipes! Either to make or eat!

Lentil & chickpea soup (vegan if eaten with vegan bread).
Fry onions & lentils in hot oil for about 2 minutes on high then 5 minutes on low, then add salt, pepper & spices (I find cumin best for this recipe) & add chickpeas to the fry for 2 minutes
Add water & vegetable stock, boil, then simmer for 20 minutes.
Turn the hob off & leave the mix in the pan for a day, then puree, reheat & eat with bread.
