What book/film/TV show has had the biggest impact on you, emotionally?

Arnold Bennett, ‘Clayhanger’, because it’s set in my home city and was written by our bard.
Not only does it unfold the city’s history, it also helps understand my granddad’s dementia, as Bennett (whose own father was senile) had such a deep understanding of how someone in that situation thinks & feels.

I have a problem . When I am at home I go to bed. I feel better if I have my legs slightly up. I can stand but I think it's more unpleasant for me than others . Can it be related to my blood pressure ? It's usually 94/66 but that's normal isn't it ?

Fontaine
This is an issue I had when I had hypothyroidism, wh wasn’t diagnosed at the time.
My advice is to go to your GP and ask them to send you for a blood test, as I think your issue may be a sign that something is wrong.

Have you ever pretended to like or enjoy something for the sake of fitting in? If so, what was it?

Yes, when I was at school all the lads talked about football so I’d read the results carefully and talk knowledgeably about what had happened in the weekend’s games, despite not giving a bollocks about it in fact.
The odd thing is, I later became interested in football. Because I work in Crewe, my team (Port Vale) was ridiculed there, as we are in most places, in fairness. So I doubled down and became a full-on valiant, which I still am.

I was about to spend hundreds of pounds on insulation when the installer noticed that there already was insulation, even though it said on the assessment before I bought the house that there wasn’t.
I’m really happy as I’ve got the insulation without spending a penny, and the assessment will now be better without me doing anything.
Also, I’m going here tomorrow, so it’s full steam ahead for me!

Through a friend I've recently started to listen to godspeed you black emperor and they've blown me away. Especially the track called "sleep" Has a friend introduced you to a band/singer you'd never know about?

I got into Stevie Wonder through a work colleague I disliked (he got fired soon afterwards) and I still love Stevie Wonder, so that person did one good thing in his otherwise futile life.

What do you do in order to relax from stress ?

Fontaine
Jogging, and lately cycling. When I can, I sleep for 10-12 hours, though this is rarer than I’d like.

how has your day been?

Buzzing, I fixed my electricity (actually my dad and my uncle did it, but it still got done) so I’m happy about that.
It was a bit disappointing that it was too wet to cycle, but there will be other days for that, whereas I thought at times that my electricity would never be sorted. Now it is sorted, I’m buzzing.

What was the last thing you saw that made you question humanity? Mine was seeing these in the supermarket tonight while grabbing bits for dinner! 😵🤢

Not to get political, but Lee Anderson MP being elected and then cheered on is depressing. It’s overwhelmingly likely he’ll be voted out soon, but even so.
