Do you ever have reoccurring dreams? If so, what happens in those dreams? ?

That I’m driving a car but in the wrong seat and have no wheel or gears/clutch.
Fairly clear that this means my subconscious is complaining about me not controlling my own life, though I hardly need a reminder of that!?
In another dream, I’m cycling through a flood. This is a bit more optimistic as I don’t fall off or get drowned, just keep going. I haven’t got much of an idea what that signifies!?

What is something you used to believe in when you were younger, but don't any more? ?

That doing the right thing is rewarded.

Do you believe in the supernatural? Have you ever had any encounters with ghosts?

During the Edinburgh City of the Dead tour I was in a haunted crypt and I did feel my skin crawl and feel as though I’d been bitten by insects! That was odd, but didn’t last.
As to belief I am agnostic on whether there is a creator, but live in a non-religious way. I think consciousness may survive death but not in the way I was brought up to believe (catholic). I do think there is probably life on other worlds and that will be discovered by humans one day!

Do you start your day with a cup of coffee, or perhaps tea?

No, with my thyroid tablet & a pint of water! Hardly the most rock & roll thing but I need it.
I do like black rooibos tea and about once a week I drink mocha, but I try to avoid being overcaffeinated.

If someone told you your next door neighbor was angry with you, what would you assume it was for?

shehitsback’s Profile PhotoAllison
They have been in trouble with police for their all-night parties, arguments, & generally being a nuisance.
I didn’t do it as I wouldn’t involve the police except for something much worse than that. I don’t know who made the complaint. But they probably think it was me as they have been strange with me since.
Their own fault really and it’s not as though I miss their fine company and scintillating wit!

Does your area have special food festivals? Like for instance a strawberry festival or a peanut festival?

shehitsback’s Profile PhotoAllison
We don’t, though I occasionally look in at an apple festival in autumn (not this year).
There are local foods though!
https://timetocookonline.com/2016/12/05/staffordshire-oatcakes/
In the oatcake shop you can buy fruit pikelets, which are vaguely like crumpets but sweetened by the raisins.
People who have moved to other places will often have oatcakes shipped out to them, so keen are they to get what I like to have for breakfast on a Saturday. But they have not spread globally as other regional foods from other areas have done.

How comfortable are you when having your photo taken? ?

Very uncomfortable, I almost always have a resting bitch face!
Here I am with my niece, Cecilia.

When was the last time you spent an entire day without your phone? What did you do?

When I was planting trees in Glen Affric I was a week without phone, internet or even hot running water! I bathed in a stream, and lived and worked with the 11 people I was with, all United in a shared effort.
We just got on with it.
I’d find it harder to do without a phone tomorrow due to a different environment, but if I ever get back to Glen Affric (This year was called off due to Covid) I won’t care about being plugged in!

What kind of clothes do you wear in your dreams, if you remember them? I keep wearing ball gowns lately

shehitsback’s Profile PhotoAllison
I wore a suit in my last dream!
I was at a dinner at the BBC, and was relaxing and listening to a female speaker. Don’t remember who she was or what she said, but I wish I had half of the feeling of acceptance & belonging I felt, now I was part of the BBC and at this dinner.
Then I looked at the name badge and it said Anna Barnett. I remember this name and leaving the room because I felt it wasn’t my place. I went into a much more sumptuous room but couldn’t find my name at any of the places, so I left in shame, then woke up.
The meaning is fairly clear, except that I don’t know anyone called Anna Barnett?

What life lesson did you learn the hard way?

That I’m not the cyclist I want to be, and will have to put in a lot of effort if I want to become that man :(

I'm considering buying an herb table for next Spring, with 8 containers for herbs or other plants. What should I plant, in your opinion?

shehitsback’s Profile PhotoAllison
Mint, basil, oregano?
Not really sure as I’m not a gardener. I have Apple & pear trees but never really get much fruit :(

1. When you receive a question, do clauses like “don’t lie/be honest” affect the way you answer it? 2. Do you feel better not answering a question when it says “don’t have to answer if you don’t want” at the end? BQ: Do you answer “bonus questions”?

CactusDoug’s Profile PhotoDoug
I answer every question I can think of an answer to, and if I don’t answer it’s because I couldn’t think of anything to say, so I hope those askers aren’t offended!

I feel like many folks feel happiness without really acknowledging why, so.... Share something that makes you feel happy! It can be anything like a picture, a song, a joke etc. ??

My grandad met my niece, Cecilia (his great granddaughter) yesterday!
I then published my 2021 calendar (this was the picture I was waiting for) so I take pride in my art.
Art is for sharing & is about love so it fits.
