Who is your favorite author?
Graham Greene is my favourite author, because he wrote about real times and places that are often overlooked (Europe just after World War 2, Vietnam & Cuba before communism, apartheid South Africa, colonial sun-Saharan Africa) and they are all unique but have that Greeneland flavour.
(As an ex-Catholic I think I can find the hidden depths in Greeneland, but everyone can enjoy it).
As well as being a naturally gifted writer, his love of films sharpened his pen, which is why so many of his books have made classic films, especially The Third Man.
Takes a lot to get me enthusiastic at 6.14am but this does!

The mere thought of him makes me want to puke, and his followers (one of whom ‘represents’ me) are just as bad.
I’m so glad I never supported him. Lots of people I know we’re, 18 months ago. Full of why we should all get behind him and not criticise him. I don’t gloat and will forgive those people, but never forget.

What’s everyone’s plans for New Years?
I’m seeing my brother, sister in law and niece whom I didn’t see at Christmas because they had covid (now better). It will be good! Drinking gin, and not sure whether I’ll stay up till midnight but at my age it seems unlikely I’ll bother!
