What do you think of the name Douglas Boddington

It sounds like the sort of person who is a good, solid, upright citizen who suddenly goes on a wild round the world adventure when he's 50. A bit like Henry Pulling in Travels With My Aunt by Graham Greene.
I'd judge people by who they are rather than their name but Douglas Boddington is certainly off to a good start

Is it normal to visit a psychologist at our age? ??? Have you ever visited one?

Never mind "normal", you visit a psychiatrist when you need to.
I visited psychiatrists as a child & more so after I was diagnosed with AS when I was 11. I haven't done so recently but I appreciate that the service is there and there should be better support for mental health.
Good luck with your journey fam, if you could be more specific I might see if I can offer more advice, or point you to another?

I hope you’re having a good weekend! Tell me two positive things and one negative thing from your last week?

1. A very successful photoshoot of Beast from the East 2 :)

2. Seeing my girlfriend and going to some of our favourite places today.
Negatively, this vegan & no alcohol diet is getting on my nerves now.
The reason I embarked on it is basically this.

And Even when I return to the world of rum & coke, pizza and linguine, I hope I've learnt permanent lessons in self-discipline, delayed gratification, and good vegan recipes!
(Fry's Chocolate Cream and a kind of chocolate called ombar are better than milk chocolate, I've discovered, as they are more grown-up).
So I hope this can be turned round to not be a negative, but I'll shed no tears when it ends in 8 days)

If nobody at all clicks “like” on your answer, do you think: A - ppl missed it due to Ask’s short feed B - ppl didn’t like your answer C - you don’t think anything and just ignore it D - something else?

I think I didn't get my due!
The short feed is annoying and I know I don't do enough asks, but I would appreciate more likes ;)

What are some of the most unusual or interesting things you do to amuse yourself when you're bored?

Setting conundrums ;)
There were four women, Lisa, Stephanie, Candy and Caroline. They had something in common. What was it?

What trends in art do you like?

I don't know what the latest trends are fam, but I like the Pre-Raphaelites!
The city my girlfriend lives in has a big gallery of them at the museum.
http://www.birminghammuseums.org.uk/bmag/highlights/the-pre-raphaelites
Lots of sites in the city are memorials to this, for instance the Anglican cathedral has many pre-Raphaelite windows by Edward Burne-Jones.
My favourite of all is The Boer War, by John Byam Shaw (several of whose paintings are in Winterbourne House, where his friends used to live)
https://mydailyartdisplay.wordpress.com/2011/06/18/the-boer-war-by-john-byam-liston-shaw/
I love the contrast between her mournful attitude and the lushness of the summer, which she can't appreciate as her husband's death overwhelms any positive feelings she may have had.
If you've heard the song, Who Loves The Sun, by the Velvet Underground, the same message is conveyed. Which of us hasn't felt like this? (And I really hate brambles so I share the sentiment of Christina Rossetti which Shaw attached to his painting.
Last Summer greener things were greener
Brambles fewer, the blue sky bluer.

What kind of dish can you cook?

I do lots of cooking mate, as I'm on a vegan (and no alcohol!) diet for Lent I've been cooking a lot myself, outside my normal range.
Yesterday I dined on a vegan chilli with rice, onions, paprika, chilli powder, cinnamon & ginger, today I ate artichoke soup with onions, fennel & ginger.
Lashings of salt & pepper & bread, yesterday rye bread, today sourdough.
I like baking desserts but vegan desserts are well beyond my ability so I ate nake & trek bars.
Ask again in two weeks and I'll be cooking different stuff & drinking :)

What items do you always carry to your bag ?

In my manbag I always have wallet, camera, portable radio, ipad and current book. If I'm on a big journey I take bottles of water (I collect bottles & fill them from a tap as buying bottled water is a waste of money).

What makes you, you?

AmericanLass’s Profile PhotoC.
I think it's that I've stayed interested in things, I don't think I'm naturally more intelligent, just that I've kept the spirit of curiosity, allied to a good memory.
For instance I've been delighting in these audiobooks from The Great Courses.
https://www.thegreatcourses.com/courses/renaissance-the-reformation-and-the-rise-of-nations.html
Only half an hour each day, or more if you have more time, like attending a lecture given by leading historians, and if you look there are experts in every field giving their wisdom!
