Is university a waste of time?
If you have a passion for learning, it certainly isn’t a waste of time if you can deepen your knowledge of what you’re interested in. Even better if you can therefore build a career from it.
It is a waste of time to just go because everyone else is going, or to do something you hate (business studies or law, for instance) just in the hope of making money.
So if you have an interest in history, physics, English literature, engineering, or whatever, then studying it at university might be the thing for you. Otherwise, maybe not. I wouldn’t just say (as hundreds or thousands have said to me as soon as they learned that I’m a graduate) that the whole thing was a waste, because that’s absurd.
