I remember when I was 16 I got caught drinking in public underage (they didn’t know I was underage until I gave my date of birth, the area was a no drinking area) and all they did was confiscate my can of cider and took some details and I was free to go, does the same outcome happen on the US?
Having never been to the US or cared enough about this issue to ask anyone, I have no idea. Why ask the same generalised questions to everyone, including those it has nothing to do with, could you not be arsed to find out anything about me?:(

So, today is Science Fiction Day. What’s your favourite piece of sci-fi (book, tv show, film, character, whatever)? ? ?? ?
What else but the Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy? Douglas Adams was hilarious, devastatingly intelligent and a wonderful man, have you also read The Salmon of Doubt as evidence for this? :)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bAF35dekiAY
Is it racist for Whites to want to have a homeland for their people? Take Europe for example where Whites originated and rose to the top in terms of technology.
Hey all, I'm going to leave Ask. It's been fun and I've enjoyed getting to know many of you. I wish you all well. Grace.
:( I'm very sorry to hear that Grace, as I appreciated your questions & answers. Please do ask anon questions or if you come back you're welcome, apart from that goodbye & have a good one.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rblYSKz_VnI
Please use this question as a blank space to talk about whatever is on your mind at the moment. ?
Thanks, I haven't got anything to vent about but I appreciate your concern for those who do.I'll be watching this film, I work in accounts and it my mum got me this as a present. http://variety.com/2016/film/reviews/the-accountant-review-ben-affleck-1201883932/We said at work that we'd go to the cinema and watch it for a laugh but that didn't end up happening, so I look forward to catching up on the deeds of the evil accountant :)
I don't generally do anything, after Christmas and Boxing Day I don't want to, and who's going to stay up after midnight? Not me anyway! This year on New Year's Day I look forward to visiting my brother and sister in law who live in Singapore and are back for Christmas & new year, they are staying for a week in this place that I've never been to.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Woodhouse_EavesIt is between where he grew up and where she grew up so we're going to hang round and explore the area, which is good since I haven't been there and I like my sister in law's family but hardly ever see them because they live so far away.So that's what it's all about, hopefully I'll get some good pictures & blog about it.
It was good thanks, I saw a lot of friends I don't see often (such as my friends who live in France) at the party yesterday.I'm not looking forward to going to work today and "settling into" the grind of 2018 as it won't be the festive season but I'm clinging on to the hope of my long-distance walk at Easter which includes this: https://www.visitpeakdistrict.com/things-to-do/monsal-head-and-monsal-dale-p681131So it was good, I'm sorry the festive season is over (I don't do New Year) but I'm pleased to have reconnected with my friends and that in my weekend job (thankfully now over) I earned the money to oay fir 2018's escapades.
Which of your children do you most love? :)Probably this as I first heard it in March and since I'm in a long distance relationship it struck a chord.https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=UmFFTkjs-O0
I haven't read any yet, I'll seek him out. I know him and Chesterton were good pals and he moderated debates between Chesterton and his fellow genius, Shaw. http://www.gkc.org.uk/gkc/books/debate.txt
It was about William Cobbett's trip around rural England in the 1820s, what he observed and what he thought were the causes of the problems people faced.Views aren't mine (he was antisemitic and supported slavery, for instance) but if you take it with a pinch of salt it gives a fascinating glimpse into the lives and opinions of folk at the time.https://www.lrb.co.uk/v25/n22/linda-colley/i-am-the-watchman
With my parents and my granddad, then my brother & sister in law will arrive in the afternoon, then we'll visit my uncle and his family, then some old friends of ours who are practically family. And everybody at Stoke Minster, http://stokeminster.orgBest companions out of all these, a bottle of advocaat & Rob Halford's Christmas album! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7B6Flt8Bkis
Yes, I stumbled across him one day, I've read the Francis of Assissi book & this. http://supremacyandsurvival.blogspot.co.uk/2012/09/more-life-than-biography-chesterton-on.htmlThat's how I found Chesterton, by looking up people who'd written about William Cobbett after reading Rural Rides (which is also fascinating)So the little I've seen encourages me to read more, which I hopefully will soon.
It means I don't have any particular theological beliefs, but I'm not saying there isn't a God, as I certainly wouldn't rule it out.So that makes me a woolly in-between but as the name suggests, I don't know.
I hope you don't mind the questions on religion. You said in your answer to whether or not you were a Catholic that you were once Catholic but the poor example of Catholics caused you to slip away. Would you say that people who are poor examples change the thing they follow badly?
I don't mind at all.Do you recall when Benedict said there would probably be a smaller, purer church and this may not be a bad thing?https://aleteia.org/2016/06/13/when-cardinal-joseph-ratzinger-predicted-the-future-of-the-church/So I suppose people like yourself will find that things change in that, as the church moves further away from the mainstream of society, you won't have so many hypocrites and pious frauds but you'll also be more seperated. I say that I drifted away because of the bad examples set, but that probably wasn't the main thing, it was just a reflection of the fact that I simply stopped believing in the theological and other parts as a teenager. There was no sudden & dramatic break. So I was an atheist for a while, then after a bout of illness (hypothyroidism) & a recovery I started thinking about things a bit differently. So I questioned, doubted & partly moved away from atheism without moving towards anything in particular and here I am really.
