★ What phone do you have? / Quel est votre téléphone? ★

A mobile only. I would have had a landline but they’re almost never used other than by scammers ringing about ppi, the road accident I was in, and that kind of nonsense.

In your honest opinion: Is this site more enjoyable when you have anonymous questions turned on or off?

I have them turned off and find it better.
I will defend to the death the right to use pseudonyms, as I do. There are a million and one reasons to want and need not to be known. But there should be an account to go back to, even one that doesn’t give out your real identity.

Was social media a part of your childhood?

lostineden’s Profile PhotoLost in Eden •°•☆
I was born in 1985, so no, and I can’t help being glad of that.
I got into it in my late teens but can’t think I gained much from this. I do find it quite useful now but I understand that it’s a tool rather than something I live by; that the sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath.

How would you describe your religious background?

lostineden’s Profile PhotoLost in Eden •°•☆
I was raised Catholic but am now agnostic.
My upbringing has shaped my upbringing, such as in that I find free will much easier to believe than predestination. I don’t make a value judgment on that, just saying that it happened. In the way that some plants grow best on some soils and some on others, I’m just that plant and my early experiences are that soil.

When you travel, do you spend your whole day exploring attractions or do you take short breaks and return to the hotel ?

Qatari999243’s Profile Photoآل ثاني
I usually go on a walking tour of the city so I get the history and the feel of the place and do my exercise at the same time.
When I go to a place I always read books about that place.
Of course there is also the eating and drinking, but it’s mostly about absorbing where I am.
The last of these 🇲🇦

What's the meaning your nickname

Makasimu’s Profile PhotoСум
Hadacol came through Hank Williams and the Hadacol Caravan. I didn’t really out that much thought into it, but it’s still been my username for nine years?
My ‘name’ also isn’t Herbert Asquith, but that’s another story.
Whats the meaning your nickname

Onlyfans?

Much to the chagrin of women and gay men everywhere, I’m not on it 😹
I also don’t subscribe to anyone as, while I’m not against it as such (like the people who want to ban it or something), I don’t take an interest in porn myself.

What’s your worst enemy mine is my own self destruction heart

xotic_vibes2’s Profile Photoxotic_vibes
I’m not sure if you’d call it an enemy but work is definitely the worst thing in my life rn.
We’re having loads of software issues as if there weren’t too much to do already, and under a load of pressure from head office, even though their own minions unfailingly bugger up what little they do without consequences.

What is your favourite architectural style of housing?

I live in an Edwardian terrace so that’s the style I’m most used to.
https://www.thespruce.com/edwardian-house-7496839
That is probably my favourite though it has drawbacks, such as being less well insulated than newbuilds.
I do think, though some have tried to rehabilitate postwar styles (John Grindrod makes a good case for them, for instance) that in the 1950s and 1960s, there were too many old buildings which should have been restored, but were simply knocked down, and replaced with things that are now even more out of date than the Victorian and Edwardian buildings.
I was in Nottingham and went past the B-road Marsh shopping centre, which was built in 1968-72 and demolished in 2020-21. Basically, it should never have been built, and if the old buildings had been renovated, they would now be sought after, instead of the rubble (the city council has since gone bankrupt, so it isn’t even fully demolished).
So, while some newbuilds can be good and I like some of the very new blocks of flats built since 2000, we should also cherish the old buildings that can be used as civic buildings and family homes, instead of taking the postwar wrecking ball approach to them.

Whats your favourite flavour of ice cream?

CrypticRaven’s Profile PhotoCrypticRaven
Rum & raisin when I’m eating ice cream on its own.
Vanilla or custard when I’m eating with a pudding.

do you snore?

No, but when I was in the highlands of Scotland I was in a room with someone who did!
To this day, I don’t believe he ever figured out why no one shared his good mood at breakfast the next day!

Are you now, or have you ever been, a member of the vegetarians Party?

Qatari999243’s Profile Photoآل ثاني
I’m in Britain and there is no vegetarians party that I know of?
I’m an omnivore, so I eat meat. But my uncle has been a veg since 1977 so I often eat veg meals and enjoy them?
