how do you remember very long instrumental piece guitar parts? Like AAL....forget learning to play it, I can barely remember how the song goes after 50 listens
When you have issues remembering a long pattern, study smaller parts of that big pattern individually, then slowly connect these starting with 1 and 2 only, then adding 3 when you feel comfortable with the first two, etc. Always dissect!
