Do you think 'innate' talent has a lot to do with how you do with making music? What do you consider yourself as?

Another good question. I don't want to sound like a douche but I'll tell you what is my experience as a teacher: you either have it or not. I've seen students never even needing a metronome, do complex chord changes and riff in only weeks of playing guitar, learning incredibly fast and being very accurate. Others couldn't even do a super simple pattern like 1-2-3-4 in six months...maybe these ones also practice a loooot but they just don't have it, sorry to say that.
Regarding me, I don't think I am a "talent" but I do have a very good sense of rhythm and melody.

do you have sibling?

Step brother and step sister which are both older than me, married, children etc :)

Do you like Folk Metal or not your thing?

I like it a lot, expecially the first Ensiferum album which is one of my favourite albums ever. I do like Moonsorrow, Tyr, Korpiklaani, Wintersun, Finntroll, Turisas, Alestorm, Manegarm, Falkenbach etc. My town also has two pretty big folk bands which are Krampus and Elvenking

How do music tastes change for extreme metal fans in general? I feel like death/black metal is the end of the road for some people and they'll listen to it for the rest of their life.

Death Metal has been my first love but I do enjoy Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars, classical...it's all music in the end :)

Have you listened to Devin Townsend's newer albums, the ones with female vocals?

Yea I like all his stuff :)

How do you see your music tastes changing in several years?

Good question! Years ago I was just listening for "good" stuff since I was still discovering all genres and bands, so each sound was new and enjoyable, I listened more as a normal listener. Nowadays it's a bit more difficult: I don't listen to enjoy the music only but the main purpose becomes taking inspiration from it, to have fresh ideas for my own music. It's not anymore about "good" stuff but "unique" sounding music that makes my mind work. Too bad it's harder and harder to find fresh ideas around!

Hey Francesco, we've never really talked but I have you on my friend list. I might be ordering a custom guitar in a year or so, is it okay if I message you about advice for specs? You seem to know what you're doing

Sure :)

what band shirts do you own?

Uhm lemme check...The Secret, Bongripper, Red Seas Fire, Northlane, Devin Townsend, Veil Of Maya, Cognizance, 7 Horns 7 Eyes

When did you first get into metal?

I think I was 13 or something, I was first listening to (lol) Blink 182, Linkin Park, Crazy Town, Offspring etc, then finally bought Master Of Puppets and it was magic. :) from there all Metallica, Slayer, Testament stuff and then I got into Death Metal.

what do you think about Rusty Cooley ?

never been much into him, I mean fantastic shredder and also very good touch but never been caught by his songs

Come descriveresti i 'nuovi' Pegasus/Sentient della SD? :)

Pegasus output basso ma rimane caldo e ha molta definizione, sentient e nazgul invece mi arrivano a breve per un test e quindi sentiró in prima persona come se la cavano

When it comes to Jp guitars, are you more a fan of the 7 strings than the 6s?

Yes definitely, but jp6s are killer too

have you ever heard/tried a black water guitar! they seems look nice but i seen some similarity with black machine guitar. how would you rate them?

Never tried, they look good for sure but I'm all for originality in design so the blackmachine-inspired shapes don't do it for me

where you good at mathematics back in the day?

I was good waaay back in the day pre-highschool, then had a series of the most disgustingly annoying teachers that made me hate the subject. So no I suck at maths, but I'm still OCD as fuck so it's *were :)

After all the updates, Is going from an Axe Ultra to the II as big a difference as going from a Pod to an Axe?
