Its impossible to become a successful musician without promotion of any kind. Just because your music sounds good, doesn't mean it'll get popular by itself. That's not how the world works

That's why I wrote "just share it", who said anything about not promoting it?

You seem to be the go to-guy for all our Carvin and music man related questions haha. Thanks for sharing the info!

Glad to be helpful :)

Have you ever played a Carvin ST300? If so what is the neck like compared to some ibanez necks?

Yes I have, it's a bit beefier but just as much (if not more) comfortable. Don't worry about Carvin necks, they rule!

Hi dude, i found this vid on YT about using IRs with heads, what do you think about this? btw the dude's name looks italian http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6C8a7QNWAY

Dude is italian, a friend of mine also :) I personally don't like "hybrid" things in recording, I'd go either all in the box or all real stuff, but you can of course obtain killer sounds with everything in between so why not.

Is your Koa Jp an BFR model? I saw in the Ryan Siew video that it didnt have the BFR logo on the 12th fret.

From 2013 BFR models have the BFR logo on the heel plate, not on the fretboard. I personally preferred the fretboard inlay.

For musicians in the metal scene, do you think its becoming more important to participate in forums and share smaller pieces of music more often (Small guitar demos, mixtests, etc) to get your name out? It seems like a great tool to use but it's so overdone now.

As long as your stuff kicks ass, it doesn't matter if you share it on forums, youtube, facebook, in real life, if it's short, long, if you release stuff often or rarely. Just share it and if it's really good it will spread and make noise, one way or another.
I am convinced that genuine and high quality music wins over everything else.

Can you do a blind test and honestly tell if a guitar is neck thru or bolt on? Or what pickups there are?

With pickups I can, it would be easier if I had DI tracks so I can hear them with my tone. Neck thru and bolt-on is more of a "feel" thing but everything adds to the big picture in the end.

So there are gonna be 6,7, and 8 string guitars on the Abio. album?

7 drop A and 8 drop E, I have stuff in drop C but doubt it's gonna make it. I've actually just finished writing the most brutal track to complete our live set, stoked to start giggin around!

what do you think of the carvin c66c and dc600 as compared to the musicman jp models?

Both are amazing, and in some aspects Carvin even better. I love Carvin!

Neck thru = better fret access and no obtrusive neck joint

Tons of bolt-on and set-neck guitars with insane higher frets accessibility and thin heels/joints. It's all in the design. I generally don't like the neck being the bigger part of the tone, can't beat a full resonant body. That being said I still love some neck thru guitars!

I have the opportunity to buy a set of BK Nailbombs 7 from a friend of mine, i'm looking for clarity, articulation and a tight low end on the 7th string, will the be ok? :)

Pretty much every BKP will provide that, but for sure Nailbombs are excellent so go with it!

I don't think the Armada will sell well...if Music Man made a neck thru Petrucci model, people would jizz everywhere

I don't get why people are so attracted by neck thru guitars like they are superior to other constructions, quite the opposite imho.

your new guitar that you've used on ryan siew video is amazing! is it a new model of jp?

It is a JP BFR Koa 7

what's your opinion on MM Armada

It looks super gorgeous, classy and very original. Looks like a guitar with a tie.

wich pickups are in your Bernie Rico Jr ?

I'm gonna install SD Nazgul and Sentient on it pretty soon!

Does the blackmachine b2 is more expensive than the b6 ? i cant have anywhere this info

Yes it's more expensive

Are you a fan of the original dimarzios in the first incarnation of the Petrucci guitars?

Yes I like them!

on the video of the solo from decapitated you sustain the note a lot, is this because of the sustain of the B7 or because you pressing the string with a lot of strenght ?

I don't see anything during the vid that sustains that much, every guitar can sustain for 2/3seconds if you couple it with a high gain amp.

Francesco that Blackmachine B7 it's yours ? are you going to make more videos to show it ? :)

No it's not mine, I just loaned it for some months

What do you prefer about the JP12 to your new Koa JP? And what do you prefer about the Koa JP to the JP12?

Jp12 has a flatter radius so you can get a bit more for shredding, also the neck is noticeably thinner on the jp12 but I feel the koa just as comfortable. They sound quite similar actually, maybe the koa a bit more balanced and the jp12 more "beefy".
