What's your opinion on the Sterling JP100D In comparison to the real Ernie Ball John Petrucci guitars?

you get what you pay for, still a good guitar!

Hi Have you ever played a blackat guitar? They rule so much!! I think the one that i played was called s6 it had blackhawks in it, it costs 1300EUR .. Would you buy one or get yourself a carvin dc600 with your own Specs? Which one has better Overall quality since its Pretty much the same price :

They are both killer, Tomek from Blackat is very nice to deal with, too. I still prefer Carvin for some reasons, but all the Blackats I've played have been consistently good. Up to you :)

hi Francesco!,I wanna know if you have any advice on a specific model with 25.5 inch scale, passive pickups and fixed bridge, the budget is under a grand :) thanks

For 800 bucks or a little more you can spec your own Carvin DC600, there is no better bang for the buck. Made in USA and delivered in two months or earlier, check here: http://www.carvinguitars.com/catalog/guitars/dc600

ryan siews solo on matt's EP sound like it was influenced by your playing!

Nah I think it has its thing going on, but thanks haha :)

you prefer a music man bfr koa with all rosewood neck and ebony freedboard or mahogany and ebony freedboard ?

Both excel, the mahogany one would have more mids and the other one will sound a bit deeper but with good attack too. I'd choose rosewood this time, just because :)
ps: freedboard wat?

you prefer mahogany neck or all rosewood neck ?

As always: depends what the other woods/pickups/construction of the guitar is, tuning, genre, player and all that shit. Everything influences everything!
Rosewood has more presence and deeper resonance, mahogany has more "meat in the mids".

ceramic nailbomb of ceramic blackhawk for a gibson les paul custom ?

both will rule, I prefer C-Bomb, Rebel Yell, Painkiller, Aftermath in les pauls

Hi Fra, i got a Jackson WRXTMG, which, beside the killer look, has also pretty good overall quality. Should i invest in upgrading it with new pickups and hardware and make it my main axe, or is it better to buy a new and better guitar, maybe specced?

Up to you, if you like the guitar a lot it's worth to invest :) call me crazy but if I got myself a Warrior, Ironbird etc I would actually keep EMGs in them, the badass Metal shape kinda calls for the classic 81 tone imho

Do you think the CT-7 is going to sound a lot better than the dc700/727 due to the construction?

It will sound different due to set-neck vs neck-thru and of course body shape has to be taken into consideration.

I am going for a mayones regius 7...Would you recommend the mahogany or the swamp ash version..Pros and cons of each wood ? Keep up the good work !!!

It's neck thru with tons of laminates, doubt the wings will change the tone that much but mahogany has more mids and warm low-mids, it's definitely more mid-oriented than ash.
Ash has very deep lows and punchy presence but not a lot of mids, I generally find it not as consistent as mahogany, either too bright or too bassy.

Dimarzio Bluesbucker neck and dominion bridge for my Alder wood strat with maple neck and fretboard... yes or no? I really want the dominion since I love Mark Morton's sound... its amazing... so yay or nay? I have never used dimarzio before.

Don't have much experience with Dimarzio, tbh always preferred Duncan and of course BKP. Haven't tried those models unfort

what you think about the new Ibanez RGIX20FE-QM and RGIX27FE-QM ? I read about them both the 7&6 they have an awesome specs. say something about em maybe they'll be my next.

While they look cool and I'm sure they're very good for the price, they're still made in Indo instruments, don't expect USA/Japan quality. Try one and decide for yourself!

Hi! How would passive mount 7 string BKP fit in an active route? I was planning to buy the Nazgul/Sentinent active mount set, but i found those used passive mount BKP for the same price :)

Passive sized pickups in active sized routes make me anxious lol :) I'd rather save a bit more money for their properly active sized ones and then buy 'em.

Are the prices I see on the Carvin site right??? Less than 2k for a custom? 5-8 weeks waiting time? Holy shit this is great

Welcome to Carvin :) isn't it great?
