What are your favorite non metal bands?

Way too many to write down so I'll just name some from my ipod: Alice In Chains, Battles, Daft Punk, Hans Zimmer, Justin Timberlake, Three Trapped Tigers

Do you still play acoustic guitar?

Very rarely but I would love to own one again someday. I still have my very first super crappy classical guitar somewhere in my basement though

when you buy a used guitar, do you ever wonder how many people's hands or dicks have come into contact with it

Nope and even if, they're usually well treated so I don't bother

How did you go about starting relationships with popular guitar luthiers and musicians?

I guess talking, being nice and releasing music does the job!

do you think Mahogany is a good tone wood for tops? Let's say Alder with Mahogany top

as a top? no, but with alder it might be interesting. I still would never use it as a top

Could you please tell me your complete rig? Guitars, monitors, audio interface, etc

look answers below on my profile

Fan of any Videogame?

I don't play videogames that much if at all since many years, work and music has always been the priority.
I also work on Mac and that doesn't help :) That being said, Diablo 2 is probably my favourite game ever. I finished Diablo 3 but it got boring pretty fast. I enjoy FPS but I'm not good at them, although I'm a beast at driving games.

The Dillinger Question Asker : Would you be able to skype and help teach someone EQ'ing and what not? To dig deep into the Axe FX II rather than what they just know. I guess like a lesson?

Absolutely, I do it all the time. There are some advanced things I like to do on the Axe 2 that help immensely in shaping your tone

I'm finally good enough to record guitar and bass but I have absolutely no idea where to start. Is a Line 6 Pod enough? Which programs are good? How do I learn to program drums? I tried to do research on the internet but most of the technical language is too confusing for me at this time. Thanks man

Anything if used correctly will be enough: plugins, pod, etc. Search Lepou plugins, or maybe even Peavey Revalver.
Programming drums is not easy, you have to think like a drummer and have a good knowledge of drum patterns/fills/etc. I do teach drum programming via Skype if it's of your interest.

Do you play bass guitar as well?

I do, but just like any other guitarist :) I occasionally slappadabazz but nothing more.

Would it be wrong to add an exotic top to a plain swamp ash blackmachine?

Nothing is "wrong" although ash is generally a wood that goes well by itself, has enough "cut" by itself without adding anything on top. That being said, it might lack some mids so maybe a more center mid-focused top like koa or redwood would be good imho!
I personally wouldn't go for maple/walnut top since they would add harshness and unwanted brightness to it.
Also I would never couple ash bodies with very bright fingerboards like ebony, imho indian rosewood sounds perfect with ash.

So what's next on your G.A.S. list?

No guitar GAS for me now :) although I have to purchase lots of new studio gear (new monitors/audio interface/ preamp/midi keyboard/proper desk and other stuff), when money permits I'll slowly do it as well

What 7 string bridge pickup do you recommend that has good clarity/string definition, but is also capable of a good lead tone?

Lots of them would excel at it, it entirely depends on your guitar. I'd say Bareknuckle Black Hawk since it's extremely clear with an even, balanced response.

Which bolt-on guitars still have good upper fret access?

Lots of them, basically any guitar that has an "all access neck joint" (curved instead of squared heel) wide open lower horn, maybe with a rear bevel. I find Music Man JPs and Blackmachines have the best upper fret access than any others.

Do you watch Metalocalypse?

I've watched like half episode, wasn't bad but I remember it being a bit boring and turned it off
